Got my newly acquired $20 homie 330 back in action today. Have to say that I kinda just put my foot in my mouth after all those years of saying that I didn't like the 330's without really having ran one. Mind changed.View attachment 448024
I felt the same way after I got to run mine. All the talk on here was that they were not all that great and a pain to work on. Well in a way they were right but I was surprised after I got it together. I had to replace intake boot, and if I recall the impulse nipple was loose in the case, had to fix that and a carb kit. After I got it going I thought it was a cool old saw and still enjoy cutting with it.

My cousin called and said he bought me something. One dollar each.

Both saws have good compression. The C5 has no spark, haven't messed with the 330 yet. I might put a Nova II in it because I have one on the bench. One question? Shouldn't the C5 have the same bar mounts as my Super 1050's. I was going to stick one of my 24 inch bars on it because I have a brand new chain for it. The C5 looked like it had 3/8 chain on it. Could you swap them around? I wasn't sure if they had a rim sprocket on them. I do have a couple new rims from my 1050's in 404. Anyway, I'll be a little while getting to them. I'm having my left knee replaced tomorrow. My new knee was my retirement present to me, 30 years at UPS. Last day was last Thursday, Joe.

This what you need?
