Probably not many of those around.

First one that I can remember seeing. I seen it at a Allis Chalmers show, which was fitting since it's obviously a AC/Simplicity tractor.
Yes definitely I've only ever seen the one other than the one above of course Lol

I'd like to get my old Homelite Xl923 ruining that I got from my dad who's owned it since the late 60's probably. The pull start wont engage, the dogs have springs that are broken on the flywheel. Not sure where I can get parts to fix these. actual pull start works great. Are there other saws that have interchangeable parts with this saw? Where these a good saw? It always sounded mean. Oops fixed it saw is a 923

Post a picture of the starter dogs and springs. Those parts are common to a lot of other saws and not just Homelites.

I typed it wrong it's a XL 923. Has two pegs on the flywheel with light twist springs that tension the dogs. I need these springs and two bolt pins are a bit bent.

does anyone have a master set of homelite service tools i would like to see some pic. i was told that a master set of homelite tools sold on ebay several years ago

Just noticed on the bottom of the Homelite 330 there is a 3/16 hole near the rear bottom ISO rubber.
By inserting a drill bit or steel dowel you can lock the flywheel in either of 2 positions. I picked up on this since I need to replace the flywheel with 2 busted fins. It will obviously also aid if changing the clutch drum or chain sprocket.
First time I ever noticed this, since I have not seen a 330 service manual...where it is likely/hopefully mentioned.

I looked in the manual and I don't see any reference to that but do see reference to that in the 350 - 750 section

I'll send you a PM with a link to the service manual. It may also be referenced in the owner's manual as it is in a 650 owner's manual I have.
