As I mentioned before my husky 141 ate an air filter holder nut and destroyed the whole saw. It still amazes me how it happened in the first place. It seems like with the air filter on it could not have dropped in, no way. The only way I can think of was if it dropped down while I was cleaning it and the bolt somehow threaded into the plastic enough to cinch down. I wrench on everything from an airplane to a bulldozer and this is a new on on me. Never have I seen anything like this deal.
The dealer finally got ahold of a human at Husky and sure enough, they knew all about the problem. The good news is that I am getting a new saw out of it for doing without for a month. What I wonder is what would have happened if it was a month later as it blew just shy of 1 year. The dealer said the minute he mentioned what had happened they knew what it was and that it had been reported before. Thats one for you guys to keep in mind with similar rigs because sure as doo doo there are a lot more time bomb saws out there waiting......
