new 090 project

I just picked up a new project saw off CL.

It's an older style 090 that doesn't run,,,,yet.

Seller said he replaced the points but still could only get it to fire for a few seconds. He didn't want the project so it's mine now.

Compression is highest i've ever seen on a 090, about 155!
I also came with two monster roller tip bars, one 41", the other 59". Chain for the 59" looks to be 1/2" pitch.

I'll update when I get to tearing into it. After the BBQ.

Yeah, I usually buy in summer and sell (some) in winter.

I gave him $350 for it, his asking price. No bickering. He was happy.

you done real good on it. the 59" roller and a chunk of 1/2 inch plus a decent saw.

you also got that nice quiet muff too.

it might just be a condenser.

Ha,,,He told me someone from VA called and offered $500 to ship the saw.

The seller is an ex-marine who manages a tree climbing service since a bad fall broke his back. He's stuck in a wheelchair and said that the thought of carrying the saw to the PO and mailing it was unrealistic.
