Well after pretty much sealing the deal with this gentleman, someone drove 200 miles to get the saw.....cash in hand, go figure! Guess the seller wasn't a gentleman after all :msp_mad:

Hope you enjoy it...lets see some pictures, Its the least you can do.

I called and left a message about that 084, sent an email as well. I need something for milling. I have 4 decent sized red oaks that i wanna slab for siding for the garage. The wife thinks I'm kooky, I sometimes agree with her!! :p

Not me.
Guess what someone beat me to today. Only 20 min. away from my house and for $50.
Here's a restored one on Acres. The one I missed didn't look that nice but it would have if I had gotten to it!

Stay outta my local CL to. :msp_angry:

This gets me! You actually think that the only guy to buy stuff in you area from a seller IN YOUR AREA...... IS YOU and that ITS YOUR RIGHT? Last time I checked Craigslist was a public site and used to advertise "for sale" items to "the general public".

You actually drove "extra" miles to buy a Homelite 2100 a while back didn't you...that put you in someone else's area didn't it?

Its OK for you to do it to someone else but ....not OK for it to happen to you?

If the only saws you bought were the saws in YOUR area...how many of those saws would you really have?

As for the rest of you "stay out of my area" type people

WAKE UP,

Craigslist is a "first come, first served" site, find an ad your interested in...you better call FIRST or take the chance that someone else ALREADY has. That's exactly what happens when your asleep at the wheel.......fact of life.

The 044 was advertised on CL March 16th (read 2 weeks ago) and the Stihl 91' more than a week ago, I was the first caller, then it posted here and another deal was done....NICE grab to the buyer, shame on the seller after having made a deal already and going back on his word!

Wildman...you should know about that.

Nothing personal here, its business, I buy saws, sell the ones I don't want, keep the ones I do and post SOME for everybody to see, that is why this thread is here...if someone gets a nice saw at a good price because someone posted it here....have enough balls to stand up-right and say "thanks"....unless you did the deal UNDERHANDED....then of course, I expect you to not tell anybody it was you who did it. In most cases, it's the seller doing the underhanded deal, went back on his word...shame on him, guess his word was no good.... my father was right, your only as good as your word, if your word is no good, what does that say about you?

I make no bones about YOU buying stuff from MY AREA....PM me with your request for help, I'll do everything in my power to make the deal for you, package and ship it for you, receive your paypal money if need be and do you a good deal. Remember this post....http://www.arboristsite.com/chainsaw/141706.htm....only a few people responded with the same attitude...say when an where....STAND-UP GUYS for sure!

You do me a favor and I'll do one for you and EVERY time you will come out ahead when I'm done!

And ...oh by the way.....THANKS to everyone that helps a fellow Arborist site member, Especially to those that post saws for sale......when I look at an ad that is for a saw for sale, I say.......

A saw should never go homeless, especially a really old, big or heaven forbid...a gently used one!!!!:msp_wink:

Happy saw hunting:cheers::cheers:

Easy killer. I forgot you cannot pick up on the sarcasm over the internet.

BTW that 2100 runs AWESOME!

Also that you got me thinking i have bought 2 saws in the last month from "MY" Cl here and shipped them off to members of this site. Both saws I found on my own and offered to the person or made a post about if anyone wants this I'll be happy to buy it and sent it off. These were not junk saws either...A Poulan 5400 and a Homelite Super 650... So Boo Hoo:cry3:

THAT was a pretty saw and a BAR to die for!!

It looks better with this sprocket tip though. Also has the big spike now to.

What happened to the bar, guess if I were going to run it, I would have changed out the bar too. I got a big PNW spike that will fit that saw if your interested?

Its funny you say that. I just edited my post and added that it now has the PNW spike. I liked the bar that was on it except its a hard nose. It looks good hanging on the wall though. I just need more wood to run it in
