That C-5's right in my back yard. Too much $$$ for a C5 that doesn't look as nice as the two I have now though. Can anyone enlarge the pic with the closeup of the clutch cover with the red saw shop tag riveted on? I'd like to see what shop sold/serviced it. Bet I know which one. It's still in business, all though a couple other possibles are long gone. I may have to go look at the saw just to see that tag. Gotta be sure I don't bring much cash or I'll be tempted to but the dang thing though...

Interesting. That'd mean it traveled about 90 miles sometime in it's life. Was hoping for Gardeners Aid, Bills Mower, or the Forestville saw shop.

i got still 16 inch chainsaw model - ms170 the problem is that it wont start ,because my friend used wrong gas on it,barter for 30 pack miller ,(mdg) thanks

Yep. I've gotten more than a few saws that've had stickers on them from shops that were 100's of miles away. I never even new Davis had a saw shop. I'm sure it's LONG gone.

Man I hope Mark or somebody else here gets that saw and it doesn't get scrapped or parted for feebay. I want a 245A, but have too many irons in the fire already to ask someone to pick it up and ship it to me. Will just keep watching the local CL for one
