Update-
A few days ago we were talking about a couple echo 600p's I was looking at on Craigslist. Long story short I got a new in box 600p for $250. I wouldn't necessarily make best friends with the seller, but he did not seem like a total nutjob, and I am willing to entertain the idea that he acquired the saw legitimately. Pretty happy with the deal overall.

Well I have 4 already but for $25 + shipping I would take it. Heck the bar and chains are worth near that.

Mostly I was just pointing it out for someone else to pickup.

Man I hope Mark or somebody else here gets that saw and it doesn't get scrapped or parted for feebay. I want a 245A, but have too many irons in the fire already to ask someone to pick it up and ship it to me. Will just keep watching the local CL for one

(I figured Mark would be on it, but if it's up for grabs...I'd be very interested) My dad used to cut all the firewood for YEARS with one.. what a distinctive sound... I've been looking for one, but have only come up with 3 306's so far

Wendell, if ya'd do an AS'er a favor, I'd be gracious... let me know what you need... (for some reason, Pabst rings a bell???)


Course, to round things out, I'd have to pay some things forward to Aaron and Mark... (I KNOW what Aaron wants ...Mark? I think he's a saw whore, so anything might go...

Ya just gotta be a good judge of character. If someone is a good enough con-artist to get by someone's general level of character judgement, to steal and sell a saw for $250, then he should be looking to work with higher-valued merchandise.. to put in shorter terms, his methods are not in-line with his abilities...

You're right dammit Mark. I do want it. If Wendel will arrange for pickup (through his BIL), then I'm game for it. I figure that a 245A that looks as nice as that one, plus a good bar and three chains is worth $20 plus the ride to me and a bit for his trouble. Damn CAD.

Who here got the NOS 245 jug on feebay a couple of weeks ago? Hope somebody here got it..............as it went for $23 or so plus shipping. Forgot to setup my snipe.....:msp_unsure:

Crikey! Somebody here grab this and make it a good runner again. Don't let it get parted on feebay (although it has all the parts I need........hmmmm). It's NOT a C-Series like the seller thinks. It's an XP1100 or 1130G Gear Drive Homelite. 100cc/6.1ci. A BEAST.

Looking at the starter, My guess is that's the AH81 powered version of the Mono built Montgomery Wards saws. 132cc! Looks to be complete and in good shape. Similar to my AH58 powered Wards WD60 (which is 95cc). Good price too if it's AH81 powered. The engine model # will be on that Tecumseh tag that's in his overexposed photo...
