Does keeping a saw that long NIB ruin all of the seals and the rubber in the carb? I would guess that this would end up a garage queen unless you replaced all of the rubber/seals. If it was a Super XL Automatic I'd buy it.
I would think not, it's the ethanol that does it now. If it was straight gas I don't think it would bother it either. I put fresh mix in a saw that hadn't been run in 20 years and it fired on the third or fourth pull, adjusted the carb and away we went.
Yep Randy..............I agree with Randy. I have seen where new carb diaphragms have needed replacement from sitting for decades, but not the crank seals. A quick, cheap, and simple fix. Jeez.....we have too many Randy's here!:jester:
If the BIN was the the amount of his starting bid price (instead of almost twice that) then I'd be trying to talk you into buying that S E-Z Randy. You'd love that little saw. It'd be a great addition to your Homelite collection. Just too damn much money at the BIN price IMO though....
