this is a vintage stihl lightning chainsaw. it is the Super model(137cc's). it is complete. except for the air filter element. the motor turns over with spark. but has weak compression. The engine was stuck when I bought it. i was able to free the cylinder. when I had the cylinder off I measured the cylinder bore. and showed 66.xxx Millimeters. so this makes it the 137cc saw! but the rings are stuck to the piston. I was going to remove the piston and soak it in diesel. but life sucks and I will not be able to finish this project.
I put it back together with the stuck rings. so it has weak compression.
it has a 32inch oregon roller nose bar. the red cover is in great shape with only scratches/no cracks. the only broken pieces that I found were. the gas tank it has a small hole in it. and only one broken fin on the recoil starter. so it will need at least need new rings and gaskets and probably a carburetor rebuild kit. make me a offer!!!!!
