With my slow-a$$ internet connection it took me about 90 minutes to post this:dizzy: I found the ad at 8:30 this morning and was at the guys doorstep by 10:00. He told me he had received about a dozen calls since our conversation at 8:30. This happens often; you get to choose between posting it here before you buy and and missing the deal or just running out to get it and worrying about posting later. The really good deals last minutes to hours at most. More than once I have driven up to a house and watched 'my' saw walking away with somebody else:msp_mad:

Pics of your newest to you saw are more important than the listing. Sometimes the thread helps, and sometimes you help the thread.
All good to me.

Here we have a very gently used Husqvarna 575XP for only $125!!

And now proudly displayed on a barstool in the home of its new owner!

(and doesn't it look silly with that tiny bar:hmm3grin2orange:)

Around here older saws will sometimes last for quite a while. Twice I saw tempting CL ads, but ignored them for at least five days in an attempt to curb my CAD; when I did finally email/call, the saws were still available. Homelite C-72 & Skilsaw 1616 (real cheap), & Poulan 5400 & SD25A (not as cheap, but a still great deal).

The very best cure for CAD is the catch and release program; only buy what you can re-sell (preferrably at a profit!). With this approach, I've owned just about every desirable late model chainsaw known to man, though sometimes only for a few days. Still to catch: Stihl 090, Husky 3120XP. Owned several 880's, 660's, 395's, big Dolmars, Jonsereds, numerous 372's, 385's and on and on.

Remember: Catch& release!

Jim, around Houston larger newer saws don't last long, & usually are priced too high to flip (risky, little or no profit margin).
