I like the drilled out Husqvarna logo in the carb cover! But do you think that is why it looks so dirty inside on other photos: bypassing the centrifugal/sealed air cleaning strategy?

Lol, my Homelite 450 used to do it automatically..........
I replaced the tank, and now it smokes a whole lot less.
And it's only $1250. :bang:
Where did you get that used tank from? I need that at a minimum and then I may get the 550 carb.
Customchainsawparts, on ebay, usually keeps a couple of NOS tanks listed and did have NOS 550 carbs listed also. Pretty sure you can use a tank from a 450 or a 550. Could also try that liquid tank liner.
