I would buy that. If the work is as stated it would be worth it to me. It's History.

Randy I'm 99% sure that Leeha is the seller of that saw. If you're interested in the saw, PM him here to discuss it and make sure it is in fact Lee's saw. If Lee is the seller, you can take it to the bank that the description is genuine, and the saw is first rate. The real question is whether or not your wife will bannish you to the doghouse!:D

I'm sorry that you had to waste the calories to type this message. The dishes are done Dude!

Once again proving the old adage about having a bird in the hand. Lots of guys get married to the idea that an item is worth so much more than it really is.

You're right about the condition, it would've made a nice display piece. Wonder who actually was the manufacture of it?

It had to be a Roper made saw.

It could be consider either a David Bradley or a Roper, both were sold under the 917 code. I have always called them a DB because they use the old Power Products/Tecumseh engines.

That saw only managed to gain another $5 since we started talking about it a week ago.

Doesnt look too bad, whatcha think?
STIHL MS 440 CHAINSAW

The price is what I consider to be right on the line. If that new top end is OEM I say go for it, aftermarket and I would most likely leave it alone. Then there is the question of who rebuild the saw? How many has this person rebuilt? Are the new seals OEM? With cheapo parts I could rebuilt my 044 to a 046 for about $100........
