That's the same jackass that was/is selling the overpriced "super rare" Farmcrest rebadged Clinton D35. Mike-something on CSCF. He's suing Johnnie for telling the truth...

Really..... suing? In what court? Is this guy from Virginny also, or is he just threatening Johnnie with his lawyer the honorable J Noble Daggett.

I'm not convinced that bar is 48" long, looks more like 36" to me, but what do I know my longest bar is only 46"

I am 6' tall and the round on the ground protecting the chain is only 1" thick.

Customchainsawparts, on ebay, usually keeps a couple of NOS tanks listed and did have NOS 550 carbs listed also. Pretty sure you can use a tank from a 450 or a 550. Could also try that liquid tank liner.

Gotta be careful on this one. At least the early 450s had a flatted type mount area where the front handle bolted to the tank. The mating surface on these tanks was flat to match the handle bar. 550s had a rounded contour on both the tank and the handle bar. Later 450s may have updated to the rounded style but I ain't sure. Any case, make sure the tank type and handle match. You could always just update the handle too if needed, but these ain't always easy to find, especially the full wraps.

The feller was just blowing more smoke. He PMed me with a bunch of big words and told me he could sue me for financial damages if his saw did not sale and that I had devalued him in the eyes of other collectors. I will leave it at that, though I would love nothing more than to voice my personal opinion of the feller.
