Yeah, Right...

STIHL SAW. NOT A TOY.

Ms 390 with a big bore kit. Makes it a 74cc with the 49mm top end kit. New crank carb.air filter. Bar20 inch. Chain. Gas cap. Fully rebuilt. New clutch. New everything. Saw screams. Hold on to it. Not a homeowners crap saw. A saw of this cc and power will cost a grand new. New saws have emissions. Who wants that? It robs power. 650 firm. Or buy a new 1000. Dollar wimpy saw. 774200xxxx choice is yours. If i dont sell it fine by me.

Believe those sold in the mid 4's when brand new, I looked at one 4-5 years ago and I am fairly certain the price was $459, with a 18-20" bar, and the dealer told me he would "work" with the price for cash.

Yeah, but that was for a new one, with a warranty. Not for a used one that has been extensively reworked beyond manufacturer's specifications by someone you don't know and selling it for 50% more (firm). Besides, he is challenging you, "choice is yours. If i dont sell it fine by me. ". A Real Man would buy it just for that.

I have an MS 390, it was my first non box store saw. Mine is from the vintage of the changeover from the 039 to 390[no decomp, but I get flippy caps....:(]. I believe mine was around $480 out the door with a couple of extra chains, case, some two cycle, etc.
It has been a good saw, and since it made a trip to TN to "meet" Mastermind, it runs much better.

That being said if I was after something around 74cc's I'd be apt to go for a "Pro" saw (044, 046, 372, 576, etc.........

Congrats to the edit who swooped in under me and bought the 044 and 460 off Atlanta CL. Freaking seller would not sell saws separate to me as he had a lot of stuff. We agreed that I'd go get it (no haggling) today, and I started trying to get ahold of him at 7 this morning. He was supposedly out of town until late lastnight and would not meet with me sooner. Just spoke to him, and he said he had already shipped the saws to some guy in Ohio, but I could come and get all the junk blowers and crap I didn't want anyway.:angry::angry::angry::angry:

I severely dislike the seller right now.

Rant off.

BLOWERS, WEED EATERS, EDGER, CHAIN SAW

Can anyone identify these saws? I left a message but have not heard back.

Are these the saws you speak of?

Why yes, they are. I made a deal with the guy on his terms, and he didn't honor it. Methinks someone dangled a bit of cash in front of him. Oh well. I hope -edit- they are good runners -edit-.

The internet has its pluses :msp_thumbup: and minuses :msp_thumbdn:, but it does suck that the seller didn't honor his agreement with you.

Recently there was some heated discussion this thread about folks posting Craig's List links that could potentially screw-up deals for those local to the listings. I'm glad that nobody posted a link to the 'sleeper' chainsaw that I recently won on eBay.
