Chainsaw

What is this:confused2:

One of the little Ohlson and Rice powered saws (also known as O&R and Orline). Never seen that variant before. Sears sold some, as did other outlets. Those little engines have been used on all kinds of equipment. Ohlson and Rice were originally model airplane engine manufacturers. That engine's around 1.3ci. The saws which used those engines have all been gear drives. I have a white "Sears" branded Orline 129. I've seen fans, generators, pumps, chainsaws, circular saws, and cutoff saws equipped with those engines. There's a guy on CSCF who's an O&R expert. He has many NOS parts, and reproduces the carb diaphragms. Sells stuff on feebay.

Just noticed the writing on the bar. That's a Chip A Saw. Seen them metioned before, but this is the first time I've seen a picture of one.

Funny!

... I see no problems with him selling that saw. IMHO, no one in their right mind would buy an incomplete PHO 025 without B&C.

Go down and read the full descrip and look at the answered questions. You may see more clearly
what I'm speaking of.

Holy cr*p! Guy gets shafted multiple times .... I'm very surprised eBay did not respond!

I'm not. Ebay doesn't help sellers very much, they just want the money rolling in! That's probably why they have lost sellers by the thousands in the last couple of years. The final value fee on shipping didn't help either...

I have talked to a couple knowledgeable friends on this topic ....

In our county, something like this would probably go through 'small claims court' .... the unusual thing about it is that defendants are required by law to be represented by an attorney. So if the thief and eBay we named as co-defendants it would come down to sale $$ amount vs. attorney fees ....

Just some food for thought. I'm sure there are members here that are closer to the legal profession than I am that could possibly contribute a bit.

... my soap box is now shoved back under the bench.

I thought attorneys weren't allowed in small claims court. But I'm no legal expert either. It might be worth it in the long run, even if you lose a little money to get ebay's dirty deeds before the public. I hope it wouldn't go as far as the Supreme Court though...you know how tough that Roberts guy is...
