"Hazardous Tree Service" has been doing business in SE Louisiana for several years. Whether it is a "Hazardous Tree .... Service" or a "Hazardous ... Tree Service" is a matter of intense local debate.

it could sound funny if you looked at it from another side.i knew most would get it right off the bat.

yeah like he said. also dont judge a book by its cover. there is a few companies round here with all the bells and whistles with great name's and do chit tree CARE every single day of the week. there is also a few with no presentable nice equip and do proper tree CARE all year round. Got one of those up this way too. Owner has NEVER been in a tree and his climber is stuck on stupid, as well as heroin and crack. Won't climb unless he has dope. It's a shame really...I've lost a few bids to them and then got called back to try and repair or salvage what I could of what was left of the HO's trees. I call'em jackleggers. They spike perty much all trees and leave rips and stubs all over the place. The owner of this debacle tries to b.s. the ho in removing perfectly health trees, tries to scare them sh%%less. Could tell several stories that ho's have told me of this guy. What is truely amazing is that this guy is still around.

Monkey Man Tree Service

Seems like there is always a monkey man tree man in every town I visit. The one in my hometown, swears "he'll make your trees majestic" This guy has more invested in ladders than tree gear, I think he even advertises his ladder lengths, its amazing.:monkey:

Monday, temp was 75, today the high was 50 and windy. We pruned 20 pecans today, cold and windy, knocked em out though,full load of chip, and probably rick of wood.
Any hows, back to the forum, if I was a hack my name would be....

mmmm anything that would include lawn care or landscape in their Co name.
Those lawn jockeys and mow and blow outfits really get on my last nerve this time of year.

Is a hack some one who does crappy work all the way around or is a hack some one who under cuts bigger tree companies? If the latter than I am a hack, I even have a hack name, out on a limb tree service. My company has been around for 4 years and currently do around 25 to 40 jobs a year. I have paid cash for all my equipment ie, chip truck several saws, ropes, spikes, saddle and other stuff so no overhead. I run a crew of two workers one of which is me the other part time guy gets paid 28$hr, started small and have been growing slowly. I do good work cheep and safe (all full removals) if I under bid you that doesn't make me a hack it makes you over priced. Don't run me down or call me a hack for trying to make something of myself, maybe some day when I run a million dollar company I will call a small company that takes 2% of my business a bunch of hacks because they underbid me......
