I have a 55 rancher runs ok BUT want a little more powerful saw. i was thinking husky 359 or 365 THEN i started reading the Jonserd ads. That. jonserd 2159 seems hot priced right anyone know about it? Are they pigs? How do they stack up against the Stihls and husky's ? I dont want peoples oppinons unless they know fact

The Jonsereds and huskys are very similar. 372xp/2171 share most of the same parts, 346xp and 21??, i'm sure the 2159 has a sister in the husky line up. 359 or 357xp maybe?

I am very happy with my Jred 2159! Husky 359 same saw 3.9Hp vrs 4.1 hp paper horse power! Same saw as I am concerned paper numbers mean nothing to me, but if they do the Jred does have .2 horse power more! Big deal I like the strait handle more on the Jred than the angle handle on a husky a personal thing.

I am very lucky to be able to get a 2147 just because good friends with the Jred dealer I think? Canada is a bit differnt though as for some crazy reason we can get Sthil 341 here but I think not anymore as they list it but don't show any info on it any more I know it is a down tuned 361.But thinking of getting one as I found one for a really good deal! I need another saw like a hole in head! L.O.L
P.S
I hope to make a trip to your part of the world soon as I really like the country there

I think the 3.9Hp vrs 4.1Hp is the differers between E-tech/Cat(3.9Hp) and Non E-tech/Cat(4.1Hp), but that is just mine thinking ;)

In Canada for some reason the E tech 2159 is still listed as 4.1 hp but I don't care as I can't leave well enough alone and will be modding it. I don't think anyone will tell the diff between 3.9 and 4.1 I really like the saw!But not the heat of the cat muffler.

Good to know! I won't be buying any saws over there! but I like to visit tourist stuff.

Is the 2147 available in North America?
I can't find a dealer that has one and I don't really need one since I have a 346. I do like the look of the Joncereds!

No, it seems that the Jonsered CS 2147 TURBO is not imported to US

Nope, it is the original versions.

In kW the specs are 2.9 vs 3.0 kW, but the dyno tests of DLG and KWF showed 2.9 kW (could be either 3.9 or 4.0 hp, 3.8 or 3.9 bhp) for both models.......

So the Cat/E-tech and the non Cat/E-tech have the same power :crazy1:

Don't want to steal your thread sorry! But does the Jred have a different carb than the Husky? Maybe someone knows. The only Husky I have is a Rifle in 358 Norma!
