post the pics of the saws your talking about ..question on the 90 without a de-compression valve how the hell did anyone pull it over ,with 190 compression damn thing would need a kick starter on itNo you can fix the coils I've seen it done. The 52 module (that picture I sent you) goes out. My neighbor gave this one to me was darn near spotless. He bought it for $15 at a yard sale, had a brand new bar and chain on it and that's all he wanted from it, ran like a top. He lent it to a friend and it stopped running. The 80 was given to me from my other neighbor was sitting in garage collecting dust. It is actually a 90. Has a decompression valve and a 54mm piston and cylinder.
i know ,the dude has thousands of items he could sell ,i might offer to help the dude out if he would pay me part out the saws and sell them would be a pretty good gig if the pay was right ,problem is don't think he could pay enoughGood deal about the new found stash. Good thing he doesn't live near me I'd be rebuilding these things and selling them on ebay. The prices are getting ridiculous.
yeah i pulled the 80 my friend had but it felt like it was dry or partially stuck ,im 6-3 230 i can pull a saw no issue til i tried that one ,de-compression valve is a must on those ,unless once there freed up they come around ,was talking to him last week and I remember him saying he fixed one for a client and took out the recoil drilled a hole in the cover and the dude started with a cordless impact, that would work great too ,just got one more thing to carry around with you in the woodsI'll grab some pictures. The 80/90 is apart. waiting for weather to break so I can respray it Ford Red. Probably this weekend supposed to be 80 degrees. And I pulled it without actuating the decomp. valve. If your 300 lbs and built like a wrestler it's probably alright. For me I can pull it about 2 times and my arm will hurt for days. With the valve on it's a piece of cake.
sweet those piston`s are in race cars world wide very high end makerThat 80/90 originally belonged to a pro tree cutter. He gave it to my neighbor 20 years ago. He used it off and on. Mostly off! I used it to cut a huge maple down for him. And he gave it too me. It had so much garbage in tank i couldn't believe it ran. Air cleaner was caked with sawdust. I think the original owner rebuilt it. It s definitely early 70s. Had little paint left on it. Ran great. I was just going to clean it up. But I kept going and decided to repaint it. The 54mm cylinder and piston are stamped Mahle.
what the name on it cant read it......
so insane they only use them one pass most of the time ,talk about bottomless pockets ehh......
