You won't have to wait very long, but it won't be tomorrow :D.

The 91s should arrive early next week. I'll sort out what's what and get together a new short list of parts. Luckily there ought not be much necessary to complete the saws. The single biggest hold-up will be finding a sloper intake for the 101. Everything else is already here, coming, or off the shelf.

Heres one of the old conversions of the 101 into a SP125 SOLD BY THE SAW KING A FEW YEARS AGO ON EBAY

Airbox was standard and used an adjustable H and L speed jetted carb

Looks very similar to mine. 797 style muffler and same shroud paint worn off by trigger finger. Mine does have a DSP and the blue flywheel cover. It's currently in a hundred pieces; pictures posted before in MAC thread. I can't wait to get it back together. Ron

Bob, when you have a chance, could you post a picture of how you hold the filter cover on the stock appearing saw?

Do you run any kind of a filter?

91s are here. Have to check them out later.

Well i use a bent 3/16" thread bolt placed through the top hole on the BDC and use a four sided el cheapo nut tighten then bent gently till it points straight up ........... no filter this is a race saw in disquise

McBob.

OK. Considered something similar, but ruled it out as I was afraid the carb would move too much with the AV mounts for it to work.

The 91s unboxed with the new official bench race fuel of CPRacing.

I have a 91B/1 here setup in a SP125 frame go's like stink really for a saw under 100cc will be running in the under 100cc visually standard it eats 125's

McBob.

Had a few minutes to poke around at the 91s. I'm tired, but here's what I found. The saw-starter one is a 91B despite the B1 label on the shroud. It makes a hair beyond 190psi, but has a lot of end play on the crank even though it doesn't bind anywhere. The plain flywheel one is also a 91B and has a tight crank. I'll switch the starter cover tomorrow and check the compression. If it's good, it'll go in the 791R. The cup starter one also has a lot of end play on the crank and it is different. The boost port on that one is rectangular instead of the 2 flutes. I believe that makes this engine a 91A and it is stamped on the bottom 69513 (the other 2 are blank).

Found 2 goodies in the bottom of one box. A GEM half-moon chain guard and a .007 over Wiseco piston and rings.

Two weeks from today, the curtain goes down on pulling season and the rags come off the shop benches. Time to start building bad again.

Hopefully you had a chance to make it down to Bowling Green this year. It was yet another heck of a good show.

Looking forward to it. Hoping we get a little down time this winter so I can get to my two boat anchors. Keeping my eyes open for kart motors till then. Looking forward to some good ideas from you - Sam

Just when I told myself no more project saws (Labor Day weekend), I see a reasonably priced BIN 101B on eBay (last night). Now I need a v4 intake. Anyone have an extra one? I should have gotten a vaccination shot before joining AS. I'm starting to get :msp_scared: Ron
