Sounds like a plan. 91s show up on eBay so frequently I been wondering what they could do for a chainsaw. I guess we are about to find out. Ron

Bob, when you have a chance, could you post a picture of how you hold the filter cover on the stock appearing saw?
Do you run any kind of a filter?
91s are here. Have to check them out later.
Had a few minutes to poke around at the 91s. I'm tired, but here's what I found. The saw-starter one is a 91B despite the B1 label on the shroud. It makes a hair beyond 190psi, but has a lot of end play on the crank even though it doesn't bind anywhere. The plain flywheel one is also a 91B and has a tight crank. I'll switch the starter cover tomorrow and check the compression. If it's good, it'll go in the 791R. The cup starter one also has a lot of end play on the crank and it is different. The boost port on that one is rectangular instead of the 2 flutes. I believe that makes this engine a 91A and it is stamped on the bottom 69513 (the other 2 are blank).
Found 2 goodies in the bottom of one box. A GEM half-moon chain guard and a .007 over Wiseco piston and rings.
Here...
Two weeks from today, the curtain goes down on pulling season and the rags come off the shop benches. Time to start building bad again.
