I'm in the process of rebuilding a Mac Super 55. Is there a source to find a gasket for the top cover, fuel tank? My filter looks like it could be replaced also.
One of the few Mac gaskets I hate to make on my own. I've always bought them from Bryce (cheapchainsawparts) on feebay... Ships quick, dead nuts fit, +Indian Head, forget about it...

Would someone please link the 10-10 on ebay. Hahahahahahahaha. You will know which one when you see it. Hahahahaha. Nearly fell out my seat. Time to dig out my like new 10-10's that I picked up at the scrap for $5 each.

Wow! I think its time to put my 10-10 on eBay. I had no idea it would bring such a premium:dizzy:
I doubt it. Many of the 10-10 saws, even though they're great saws, don't do that well on ebay. I've seen them go for $30 and $40. The 610 for some reason had a good run when they were around $200 but not any more.

Remember..............it's listed for that amount. Doesn't mean it will sell at that price. The next hightest 10-10 is listed at $200something. Doubt it'll go for that either.

I should have used my [sarcasm][/sarcasm] tags! I think it would sell for a respectable 75 to 100 bucks if he dropped shipping to a more reasonable number. Otherwise another 25 to 40 dollar saw to me.

Unless you can get a deal on shipping, which I can't, you just about have to charge $30 or so to cover a shipment to the west coast. From Indiana to California costs over $30 if you send a medium to large saw.

Joe, there was a 10-10S recently that went for about $280 ... very clean, but didn't have the original bar.

I have a few clapped out PM700's in the attic, one runner up in the collection, and some good parts that will allow me to make a couple more decent ones when I get some time again.

Best part of the deal was two had the roller fairlead on the starters and one had the short clutch cover with a chain brake. I will find good homes for the cool parts.

I've been slowly plugging away at my last PM800 build. I almost finished the saw tonight but I have a little more work to do on the bar. It is the only "A" cylinder I have. Ceramic coated piston, a little smoothing of the ports, .404 7 pin sprocket, 25" Stihl bar, DSP valve, three screw oiler and the roller recoil are the only tricks. I opted for the stock muffler as I think the saw is a little stronger than when using the old reed muffler. I wish I had a few more of the roller recoils this is my last one. I might change my mind when I find out why MAC added the lip to the newer style - I am guessing that it was to protect the sawdust guard but I don't know and I haven't broken one yet.

This saw is one that I bought in a box. A few more missing parts that I thought so I have put a real dent in my inventory. Also it appears to have had a new carb installed before its meltdown. It has a small plastic elbow as the fuel inlet. Not only did the old fuel line have a screw driver hole in it, it was also much too big to seal around the inlet - I assume that this is what caused the saw to fail. I cut the bell off the new line so that it would seal tight. Can the inlet be twisted without breaking it? Right now it kinks the line although I have shortened the line to about one half it's original length.

I have always sent saws usps parcel and they have all been under 30 bucks. But a 10 10 has been the largest saw ive shipped and from st. Louis to new england. No one from the west coast ever buys any of my saw stuff it seems.
