Mark,

A trip half way around the world ruined by thieves - I guess I shouldn't complaint much about someone not doing what he said he would do.

Anyway I ordered a piston for the PM8200 from M & D, but they said it was on back-order. I take it that back-order is code for we are looking for one for you. I'll let you know when I hear something.

Ron

When I ordered a PM8200 piston from MD they told me the same thing. It took a month or so and finally came in. Super nice looking piston compared to the other 3 82cc pistons. I wish we could find their parts source.

He must have not wanted to ship it or I scared him. I offered him his full price plus the cost of shipping and plus $25 for his trouble. He said he would check with the missus on shipping it but then he quit responding. That was several weeks ago. BTW none of my PM800s feel great compared to a PM850 even with the same psi so I would say that the q-port is pretty efficient at bleeding off compression at recoil speed. If it doesn't feel on par with your other q-ports then maybe it is down. Hopefully it just needs running. Ron

My 82cc pistons have all looked super compared to the other makes of pistons I've seen posted on AS. The 8200 must be really nice. Ron

Just a refresher on the 82 cc photos from when Joey came to visit...

My PM805 is now wearing a new clutch cover and one of the 28" brushed finish bars from Customchainsawparts. I have another SP81 now days in case we ever get to retake the group photo.

Andy - Why is it that except for the one Joey Taylor has, all PM850s look like they've been ridden hard and put away wet?
Mark

I hear ya Mark...

They all have been worked hard...one has a q-port cylinder...they all run good though.

Ted...I met up with Bryan Plust (bplust) a few weeks ago...did you get your 24 inch hardnose bar yet?

Tried to buy it off him but he said it was yours! So of course I increased my offer:laugh:

Small world;)

Yes, Bryan is quite envious of your Mac collection. I've been assured my bar is on its way .... Yes, the web cast from Northwest IN is a large one ... lol

Glad to hear you finally got through to the guy. I agree with Lee. Looks better than the seller's pics. Slap a K10-SDC in it and go cut some wood. You want a 24" bar for it?

I have a few clapped out PM700's in the attic, one runner up in the collection, and some good parts that will allow me to make a couple more decent ones when I get some time again.

I didn't have any decent 10-10 runners and Mark Hosky dropped off three non runners a few weeks ago. Since it was raining on Saturday I decided to strip them all down and put together one good one. I will try to get some photos up in the next few days. Best part of the deal was two had the roller fairlead on the starters and one had the short clutch cover with a chain brake. I will find good homes for the cool parts.

No new photos to post, but is seems the new software is working normally. We have been pretty busy between Jeff's house and getting things ready for winter here. Off again this week first to Texas (A&M) the back to Australia for a week, home in time for Thanksgiving. I did get to run a few saw last weekend, CP55, CP70, and the latest SP81 as well as the Super 797 in some large cottonwood logs. For those at the last IA GTG, the Super 797 is running much better after receiving some new diaphragms in the carburetor and some tuning in the big wood. Sorry, no photos from that project either...

Did the video of the BP399 from the Fall GTG ever git to the site? The linkbucks deal has sure messed up my "lurking"
