The 890, well that is what I think it is!

Here is what I assume is a 890 G
Seems pretty clean, and didn't notice anything terrible!!!
I asked awhile ago about how to ID.

Oh ya, threw the Stihl logos in there for you! LOL!

It is stamped:
890 MODEL
0889? don't know what this means!
030? and this number either?

I found a 101-797 motor to go in it as well. I won't see it till the end of the week!

And the G-70

This is a cute little gear drive!
Need to work on the ignition. I think this one can be a cool little saw with a 18" bar!

EEEhhhhh.... buncha junk! esp that (red/green)one all the way to the right trying to hide under the rag...

the 'unknown' my guess is a 44A ...maybe you missed the 1st 4????

it's a direct drive, and it's brother is a gear drive (55A)

just like the 790/890... if it's a 790, they stamp out the 890...

Aren't MAC's FUN to decipher???

Nice lot of saws you have there Matt - don't know about those Stihl badges though! I like that Homelite 770GS on your bench as well.

I managed to get some time to semi strip my latest SP125C for a good cleanup. This saw had been sitting for a couple of years, but fired up easily and ran very smoothly without any adjustments. I had to move some of my others out of the shed as well, so thought I would post a couple of pics of the 125 running lineup. I enjoy working on these 125 saws as they are nice and simple to strip down and re assemble if time is limited.

Regards,

Chris.

That makes sense!!!!
And ya, I can see why there can be a bit of a challenge to the numbers!!!
Can actually see the frustration and fun in trying to figure it out as well!!!!

That makes sense!!!!

You know what DOES NOT make sense???

the fact that the bumble bees are invading your Orange and cream crop!!!

WATCH the HECK out man!!! there's SOOOO MANY cool macs..:jawdrop:

look @ Acres site... pages and pages..

lol

that 090 might get neglected once you find a SP125 with a 101b cart motor that pushes 15hp...:eek:

Naw, 2 Macs (890G + 125sp)
and 1 Homey! (3100G)

Need to find 27 more 090G's for my rim sprockets! LOL!!!

Nice Mac's Teddy, i do think the unknown is a 44A,
The 890 looks like it has been apart and wonder if
it has been bored .030 over. never seen one stamped
with a number like that.
Good luck on your conversion. If you need assistance
let me know, Iv'e done 2.
If your not going to use those large felling dogs
i would be interested in them.

OK, I was going to tell you "I hate you" for hogging all the 125's. :cry:But seeing your location and realizing I couldn't get my fingers on them anyways, I have to say Congratulations! That is an impressive line up of muscle.:clap::clap:

Like most everyone else with the Yellow Fever, I hope to get one in my collection some time. I came close last weekend, I snagged a sp105. It runs good, can't wait to get it in some bigger wood.
