Right well better start saving my penny's and get some bits while he still has them. Is he fair with pricing?
Some things are fairly cheap, others are fair priced,& yet others can be pricey. It depends on what you're buying. He's a hell of a lot cheaper than Ebay. Some carb gaskets are selling for $10 ea.on Ebay,Bob gets about $2.Condensers on Ebay are $25,Bob sells them for $12.I found some condensers in Chicago for $4 & $2 ea.I bought all the ones they had for $4 ea.& bought two of the $2 ones.I tested the $2 ones & one was good & one was bad. They probably have about 120 of the $2 ones left.

I doubt Bob will be around in 30 yrs.time,he's about 75 now, give or take a couple of yrs.I'm pretty sure he wants someone to take over his parts business.I know he loves what he's doing & his knowledge of saws astounds me.He was a Pioneer saw dealer for 30 yrs.till they went under. If you need his phone #:1-607-638-9297.He's open from 9:30 A.M.-12:00 noon, takes lunch till 1:30 P.M.then reopens & closes at 5:00P.M.Mon.-Fri.You might catch him on Sat morning while he does his book work from 9:30 A.M.- noon.Eastern Standard Time If you want Jethro, give me a list of what you need (part #'s) & I'll give him a call & get an estimate for you, then you won't have a giant phone bill.Lol

I remember you saying that your 7-10 is kinda limping along right now.Maybe you oughta think about getting the parts you need now for when it finally dies.I suppose it all depends on how much cutting you're doing with it.The real kick in the pants for you is the shipping costs involved.I know I recently sent a pair of sneakers to the Philippines & it cost me $55.I sent them to a little girl there on Dec.26 & she still doesn't have them.I tracked the package to Manila customs,it got there on Jan.9th.I'm thinking that some not so honest customs worker stole them,or a not so honest postal worker.

Hate to think that but it is a possibility. People are desperate there as you know. We have two filipino guys at work and the stuff the say is mind boggling at times. That's a real kind thing to do though mate nice.

Yea the 7-10 still runs very well it has two grooves down the bore right beside each other below the exhaust port where carbon has been dragged down and there will be more damage I can't see too. The piston doesn't seem too bad it will hang on the rope for 5 or 10 seconds before slowly turning over. So really need to pull it apart properly and have a real look but its cutting time now so just running it. It may not be so bad and ring ends mite be where the compression is going. Still got great power and when flooded you get fairly puffed pulling it over heaps

Well I guess I'll have to find out on my own about the PM310.Maybe no one here has one?

I have some but no clue about them. I have a box full at my mates place 1 was a runner and he needed clutch bits for some of his so that's where they stay. Not a bad little saw really but not much love for them here

Ahh yea Ebay can be tricky like that it will say the shipping cost for US destinations for us we have to go all the way to check out to see the final cost of shipping just before you pay. Often you need to message them and ask for international shipping also

I have changed the destination from us to greece and from greece to us.on the items page fees changed but not in the cart list.should i calculate the total cost from the item page?is that the true cost ?who should i mail ?the seller i suppose

I'm not really sure then I use my fone so it may be different and have never used the cart I just find what I want click through till the checkout and if the shipping is ok then grab it. Some things the shipping is fair sometimes not. You get charged 20 or 30 bucks for something that can go in an envelope

Well we have a saying in greece, i can not translate it correctly in english. We say as far you are and less you khow for something the better and the safer for yourself.i think it suits ebay.i will give 9/10 points to mr Bob doing his sales with the phone and 10/10 if he is payed in cash.

I acquired this saw last year. I was told it has been sitting for years. The throttle is stuck. I am going to need a air filter, air filter cover, and probably a carburetor diaphragm. Any leads on where to get parts and hopefully they won’t cost me a arm and a leg. And what about checking the crank seals for leaks?

As far as getting parts for it,get yourself an IPL for the saw so you know the part #'s.Then call Mr.Bob Johnson in Maryland,N.Y. - 607-638-9297.He's open 9:30 A.M.- noon, then he breaks for lunch & reopens at 1:30 P.M.& is open till 5:00P.M.Mon-Fri.Those times are EST.
He'll most likely have the best prices around & it won't cost you an arm & a leg.

I managed to pull apart my PM310 earlier.I checked the iontake boot,it's good.I checked the impulse line,it's good.I checked the metering diaphragm on the carb,it's not good, full of wrinkles.I'd rebuild it,but I have no idea what kit to get for it.All I can find on it is that it's a C1 Zama. There another # on the pump side cover:1702A004A.Anyone know what kit I need?
Ed
Upon some in depth investigation on Zama site,I found the model I was looking for is a C1-1702A Imagine that). The kit I need is a Zama RB-1.
