And this is out of the norm??????

J

Quiet you!!!

There. now I know that one was deserved...

WTF? :msp_confused:

Don't be confused here Kyle. Jay and I have had this "back and forth" thing going for a while now. He's a good guy overall, but does have a tendancy to sit naked on his front lawn at night..............talking to worms (or so he says)...:jester:

If you saw what I was given today you would take that statement back:bang: a mini mac I guess you would call it....a tiny Eager beaver that is no longer so Eager:buttkick:

Yeah that's part of the deal with collecting "old" saws. People that don't know the difference (and don't care to) will give you mini-macs, super-2's, 150's, electric chainsaws, and other crap saws. Best thing to do is to not turn them down. You wouldn't want to look like a 'snob' and piss off a possible future source of good saws.

Take them (and stash 'em somewhere out of the way). Then either "re-gift" them to one of the sicko's here who actually like the damn things..............or just quietly throw them away at a later time.:D

Hmm... never heard of a beaver that wasn't eager. :( That's sad. I thought they loved to cut trees down...

Just wait 'til you've been married for a while. That's all I have to say about that...

Help me out... I'm looking at some specs on saw engines and find the following which causes me to pause.

For example, looking at the 300 and 380 - same cam (p/n 60313) and same bore (2.125"), but different stroke (80cc v. 87cc). The cam MAKES the stroke - there's no way to change the stroke with anything else.

I guess I have a guess - with different rods, even with the same travel, the piston will clear the ports differently and effectively change the chamber...

If you're looking at Acres site, dont be confused, they are both the 87cc disp. Just a typo on his 300 specs.
They are nice old saws, lots of fun to run. Tons of parts interchainability.

I had to remove a few limbs from a plumb tree to keep the power co. happy. The Mac 10-10 got the call and did a terrific job but in all my fun I forgot to take pics.:msp_sad: Oh well, the biggest limbs were only 4" so nothing too exciting.

Just wanted to post some pictures of an SP125C that I recently restored. Motor was good, but lots of broken and cracked parts on it. I did a half ass paint job on it, so when I get time I will tear it back down and repaint it correctly. Good running old mac though.

Also, the gas cap leaks on this saw when I turn it on it's side. There is some sort of check valve missing in the cap I guess. Can anybody here sell me one, or at least point me in the right direction to find one?

yea, i think the chart i have was derived from acres info... an error makes a LOT more sense, although I was trying to make the numbers work in my reality...

Built waay befor your time laddy, back when men were men, and well you get the idea. Give me a minute, I'll get the link to McBob's site, he's got bore's stroke, and PTO style, listings for Mac saw and some Kart engines.

'thats it.... here's a link to a pdf of the same chart.

Mac engine specs

I'm messing around trying to clean up the data and move it to excel - if i ever finish it i'll share a copy... not really a priority, though; more a distraction.
