Here's my 1-76 parts saw... Thanks to CPR for helping me out with acquiring this saw.

And here is the .030" over size piston for the 790. I don't remember if I posted this yet or not, so if it is a repost, oh well. Thanks to another member here for helping me acquire this, with all of its NOS glory. I'll leave it up to him if he wants to pop in and tell you guys.

There's that.

Next post may be entirely unrelated to saws... but probably is of some interest to a few here.

Oh, here is what I'm looking for...

This 317... I'm quite busy with it... cleaning, cleaning, and cleaning. I'm also rebuilding a carb for a little pressure washer I bought, which will be used to help clean this thing up and make it a bit shinier.

Dammit, it won't let me go to 'advanced edit' so I can post the pics. Here they are...

As you can tell, this thing really needs a good cleaning before it receives a Briggs 18 hp Vanguard twin.

The shop vac is nearby because I used it to clean up all of the grass/grease/oily gunk that I scraped off of the frame and such.

Like I said before, a pressure washer shall assist me with cleaning this thing up.

Also, those um... things... were shipped out today to their new owners in NY or whatever. Hope they like them. They're all clean and stuff.

125C on eBay

So who nabbed the 125C on eBay early this morning?

Could it be that the seller was persuaded to end the lising early?

:monkey:

Ain't me either. I've already got my 6 cube project, so I'm tickled for the time being.

Not to mention I probably couldn't drop the money on it anyways.

There are probably 20 people that have posted on this thread that have cost each other a lot of money bidding on saws:) I know I have bid on 8 or 10 125's so far, and I have not gotten one yet.

If you have the McCulloch real wool felt filter in the bottom of your tank, the felt will absorb the water, and the enormous filter area will effectively trap all that sawdust.

Not suggesting it is a good idea, just that's the ad is promoting.

P.S. There was a D-45 that sold on e-Bay yesterday, if that was anyone here and they want to make a dandy profit please send me a PM.

Regards.

Mark

Mark,

What is a D45? I looked up the listing, found that it looked like a standard LH start Mac. Any interesting info about them? Seems as if it slipped my limited Mac knowledge

I'll give you a nickel if you try that soda and sawdust trick. Even though a "real man"uses beer and peanut shells. You have to adjust your carb with beer though, adds another 6% ethanol to the gas. Don't want to burn it up now.

Who in their wrong mind would do that? :dizzy::dizzy::dizzy:

Lots of things were sold back in the day when said things could take some punishment. Timex watches, for example. I remember when Chevrolet changed body styles, started selling more 4WD's with automatics. They had an ad in the farm magazines of a blue and white pickup IIRC plowing pulling a pull type 3 bottom plow.

or like this...

The D-45 was a sort of bridge between the D-30/36 and the later 1-40/60/200 Series saws. May have only been available in Canada, not sure on that point however. No Mac collection is ever complete, but I thought that would have been a nice piece in the puzzle anyway. I should have bid a little more aggressively.

P.S. I use the 10-10s last Monday doing storm clean up and again on Saturday. Both days were very hot but that little saw just worked flawlessly. I set it up with a 16" bar and .325 chain, very nice combination I think.

I've got a question about installing a ignition chip on mcculloch saws. I currently only have one on a SP80 and a SP81, I really like the way it runs. I've tried unsuccessfully to install one on a SP105 and today I couldn't get one to work on a PM60. There are two ways to install, positive ground and negative ground. How do I know what type Of ground is on the saw?
