That gasket was the problem. Dang!

There are two Gaskets listed in ipl 92818 and 62274, both are on ebay but look WAY different. 62274 looks like correct shape but its brown. 92818 is more profiled looks thicker too. Which is correct?

Center area on mine is almost completely gone!

You need the 92818, PM me your address and I'll go put one in the mail box. That'll keep you from over paying for that one on eBay. It will be used but good

Today I put a new fuel line on the SP125 and in the same time put a carb kit in an adjustable high speed carb to run on this saw as apposed to the fixed jet.

The carb is a SDC 3-72 20 if that helps. Anyways what should the lever height be on this in relation to the carb body? It is jsut slightly below the body sides. I only just got the saw running but it seemed to be flooding when I tried starting it.

Once I held the throttle wide open after it fired once on choke it would start and run. I had no bar on it so I will run it tomorrow in some wood if I can find something to cut. It seemed to not want to idle the greatest but I did not mess very long with adjustments as I had to leave the house for an unreleated deal.

Also what spark plug should be in this saw? I see it has a CJ8? That doesn't seem right to me for some reason.

I believe on those carbs the lever should be flush
with the floor of the body. Not the sides.
Sparkplug should be a champion DJ8. It's the
little tapered seat plug that uses the 5/8 socket.

Got it back today, I like the way the sun shines on it

The trim, bumpers and such go on tomorrow. There will be some black accent trim.

After much fussing around with it today and taking it apart and resetting the lever a couple of times I think I have it correct now. It is pretty close to level with the floor. I took my other one apart which operated fine (fixed jet) and they are both now at the same level now like you said.

The saw seems to run good now. I have it set to four stroke in a the couple of small cuts I made with it. After Mark H takes a look at it and any other Mac pros I will let it rip on some wood tomorrow at the GTG.

Thanks for the info. Will rep you if it lets me

Also I will add it was a member here that hooked me up with the adjustable high speed jet carb for this saw. I forgot who it was at this time ( it was a while ago that he sent it to me)but much thanks to him for that. I knew after running Mark's fixed jet 125 and his adjustable jet version I wanted to get the adjustable carb

I discussed the color at great length with Annie, we saw a new Dodge Charger and said "thats it!!" at the same time. The paint is Imron, the color is known as Detonator Yellow.

Thomas, it has a 200 in-line, more like a standard Mac 250.

The truck errr car thing looks very nice:msp_razz:

I tried to rep you but it is all empty:mad2:

I'll bet it's closer to one of the shades of McYellow when seen in person. I've seen many Detonator Yellow cars and trucks. There's one of the flashy tarted up Dodge pickups with the Super Bee type stripe/bee treatment on the bedside (like an old Mopar) near where I work. Looks just like McYellow to me. From what I can see, your painter did a damn good job shooting it.

Thinking your 'Chero six matches up well with a McCulloch 200 Randy. Not terribly exciting, but has plenty of grunt to get the job done.
