Back from the races took 2nd in the over 100cc class with my Super 797 got beat in the finals by a sweet running SP 125C. All sorts of big saws and Mac took first and second. There lucky my leeha block is not finished yet. .404 on a 123cc good running Mac you will not beat on a 20" log..

I started on David's (broncoRN) sp80 today. thanks for the parts Fraser.

I cleaned up the ports and the casting marks on most of the pieces. It won't be a Leeha saw, but it will be nice for a southern boy.

Today visiting the local shop I looked over the used saws while the owner talked on the phone. And there sits a PM800 on the shelf in amongst a bunch of smaller stihls for $100. More want than need and I just got 4 more saws last week, only wanted 1 of them...so anybody want a pair of doorstop homelite 150's and a running wild thingy? (it comes with a case!) :D

everything looks great, i think even the rings are good to reuse. david has bought some new ones since we are this far into it. i haven't measured the ring end gap on the old ones. anyone know what it should be?

i finally got around to putting a 20" bar and .404 chain on one of the sp81's. this one is running a 8 tooth sprocket. the wood is very hard. this is hickory from 2011 spring tornadoes so its over a year old. i really like this combo, it cuts great. i will be using this saw alot.

David, don't worry. i'll get to working on yours again someday.

i guess i'm the only one awake with the yellow fever tonight. i assembled david's SP80 this evening and ran it for about 60 seconds. then i attempted to do a compression test. with the decomp pushed in, it acheived 150PSI!. then i tried with the decomp out and now i think i need shoulder surgery. i got it to almost 210psi before i give up. i'll break in the new rings in the next couple of days with some 32:1 mix. after a couple tanks i'll test it again and see where it falls. this saw has alot more compression than any of my 82cc macs, i'm a little jealous.
