Speaking of which, just fixed the recoil on this MM30 i got from joeymt33.....needs a carb kit though, was hoping to get lucky, not looking good.

Anyone have or know where I can find the fuel line for my sp125?

I am a bit out of touch this week in Asuncion now and ending up in Buenos Aires for Friday/Saturday.

The cut off saw is indeed based on the 795L power head. To make one a saw again would require a different stuffer plate with the port for the oiler, the oil tank with manual pump, and the auto oil pump, plus the clutch and clutch cover. Certainly not a big task but the cut off saw has it's own cool factor...

My Target Quickie was converted to an HL befor it arrived to me so I left it. My 895 has the choke style flat back with idle governer. Some of the 795L saws had the SDC conversion like the Super 797; at least my IPL shows that. The only 795L saw I have seen belongs to Roland.

I sent a NOS Target Blue flywheel cover off to someone (24D?) for some hot saw project, there may be another floating around in the attic...

Sawking often has those if you insist on OEM.

It is also possible to make a bushing to fit in the tank and use a piece of standard Tygon, or you could go the route of the fitting in the tank with hoses hooked to either end. I bought a bunch of fittings through McMaster Carr and can put just about any two sizes in a tank now. Not sure how to find it again but the process was documented with photos some pages back in this thread on a 10 Series saw.

Its got points on it. Does it need to be installed in the casing/shell to be grounded?

Here's another option i just found for the SP125c i imagine the coil assy is off a 600 series Mac

And since the SP125C and the 600 series are timed the same at 26 btdc it should work fine

If you are trying to get spark with the engine out of its case it should still work assuming all your ignition gear is in order. You most likely have to check/replace the points. Im personally not a fan of points, they are a pain in the ass especially on a saw that they cannot be accessed easily, however they do work when set correctly. If your not into changing and setting points Id look for an electronic ignition coil out of a later saw(eager beaver/2.0 black case mini's)or you can go for a nova II ignition module chip, cheap and a real hot spark. Some may argue otherwise but IMO this is the way to go.

The 600 Series and 10 Series electronic ignition modules are the same part number in a few cases (95553) Just the spark plug leads are different, much longer on the 600 Series since the coil is mounted at the front of the saw. I believe the flywheels will interchange between the 10 Series and 600 Series as well if you change the starter pawls. I assume they took care of the different timing issues (due to the change in the location of the coil) by changing the location of the key way on the crank shaft.

Something more to look in to if I ever get to spend time in the shop again.

With that tank style, the super series flywheel cover, the auto oiler pump, and no DSP lever, I also think it's a 99cc 740 or 103cc 790.


And for Mini Mac Man......RK-88HL is indeed the repair kit you need. DG-5HL is the diaphragm/gasket only kit if you choose to go that route.

What happened to the ignition setup That I sent you a few months ago. It had spark when I pulled it off the parts saw or is it lost in your shop some where.:msp_smile:
