Does he want you to make a pm850 also? Or are you asking if its similar to a pm850?
No no... I have torn one of them down, but never a pm700. He want the pm700 running.

He and his brother both bought 700s new. His was used hard and his brother ran over his early on. He wants to swap motors an get it in some wood this year. I'm the local chainsaw nut and he's a good friend so I got the job.

Oh ok, it will be very similar. The difference between the 700 and 850 will be; no AV on the 700, different manual oiler(probably), no carb intake boot, etc

No reason to break anything up. I have a lot of respect for everyone on here, these guys helped me many times. The problem comes in from me using my Iphone to respond so I keep my sentences short and it's hard read people's body language anyway when typing.

With all that said, I would still jump at the opportunity to rib Ted any chance I get.

I may also have a spare coil if Ted doesn't

Heck, I was just looking for an excuse to break out a good beer. I get a good laugh out of some of you guys so I was joking about breaking it up :hmm3grin2orange:
Thanks for some of the offers and I will update asap after I go picking.

Well I finally got the SP 125 running. Holy sheet is all I can say. She's a little rough around the edges but not going to be a beauty queen. I will run the long bar later when I need it. View attachment 268698View attachment 268699

Thats a beast of a saw, very nice. I got to ask how old that Lunati sticker is? I worked there for five years until Holley bought it out and it all went downhill after that. :bang:

Sweet saw,
I would find your self the correct wrap handle bar clamps to
hold it to the tank. That way you won't crush the wrap bar
whith the screws.

Cut down a cottonwood tree that was threatening my parents home. Here is the root flare of the stump where I cut it off

I have 18 feet of trunk left. I was thinking since it's worthless as firewood, If I could get it to my place about 3 miles away it would be fun to have a McCulloch/ vintage saw get together. I don't know if there would be enough interest, most of the regular posters in this thread are too far away.

If you end up with an extra fair piston and rings or just the piston, I am looking for a set for my 700 rebuild. Will gladly pay or trade some spare parts. Please PM me.

Lunati sticker came with a roller cam and lifters for a 327 chev. Some time like 1997 ish.

Ya I know. The bar is already bent. I need to replace it and get the bar clamps. About 45 bucks.

Pro Mac 10-10S update.

Found a coil! Price was free so I was all over it. Still waiting on carb kit to get here but with just a cleaned out carb she fired and ran.
Little different sound than my Homelites but I could tell instantly this is a keeper. Whats a decent compression number on these saws? Im pulling 132 on it.

Cant thank you Gents enough for the help and offers. Special thanks to Joeymt33 for the manuals and service info!

the latest yellow. has a hole in the top of the tank. have a spare. turns over with spark. 7-55.

Yes it is a 73.

I brought another one home with me from Australia recently, not much to look at but will yield up some good parts I am sure. Hopefully between the two I can come up with one runner although the Australia unit says 73A on the serial number tag and there are some obvious differences.
