You still got that saw?
Yeah, i still got it.

Did you try to jump start the saw instead of pulling 50 times? Usually 20' of rope behind the pickup at 60 mph gets em to fire :msp_wink:
It didn't work after a free flying trip accross the woods.

Did you ever figure out the flooding issue? I have a ms170 that I use for recutting my firewood, it is experiencing the same issue. This saw has been so good I would hate to throw it out, but the dealer wants like $200 to fix it and for that kind of money I can get another one off of craiglist.
It still does it every now and then, I've had several suggestions on how to fix it but shouldn't have the problem on a new saw. I usually grab the ole poulan instead of it anyway.

Does the Poulan still fit in the same carrier on your Rascal?

What I usually do with flooding issues........like someone said above, pull the plug and rip the cord 5 times or so. Put one drop of premix in the plug hole. Button it back up with a new plug. Start it. The drop should get you started enough to blow the remaining flood out of the bottom. Smokes like hell for 20 seconds, then you're good to go.

A sticky? Great idea!!!!

I gotta get somebody to show me how to do that. :)

Yeah, we need to know how to make things sticky here....

Also need to get a list of all of the moderators too........

Ok, I knew that. Now sell that 250 and buy a 550XP, then you'll crap yourself....more than usual :D

I spent some time doing some simple cylinder mods to a MS 250 this past winter and change the carb to a different brand and the 250 is a different saw; I change my fuel to a higher octane racing fuel and had to reset carb yesterday but it runs so much better

Now if the people were Im cutting would stop nailing there electric fence to the trees around there property I would be a happy camper (alot less filing on the chain when I'm there)

Dayum, and I thought the saw ran pretty good, stock. (Give or take a bit of heat and grunge.)

The thing seems to want to get crazy rpms.
I'm still bedding it in, so I'm staying away from WFO for now.
