So Thall, you are advocating new saws under warranty should be worked on by the owners rather than taking it back?

Its ok to disagree , nothing wrong with that at all. However it sorta puts you in a bind my friend. Now you say since it was new it should have been looked at right away. Ok, then tell me, how do you feel about net sales and box stores. Obviously Husqvarna doesn't think new saws should be looked at right away if something goes wrong. To them its more like good luck but thanks for buying. Now are you gonna tell me its ok for that big outfit to feel that way but its not ok for me to provide service on a first come first serve basis, hmmmm.

If you can squeeze out of that one Sawtroll I'll send you another green lite ole feller, lololol

 I never said that selling saws trough no-sevice box stores were OK, whether it is Huskys in the US, or Stihls and Jonsereds here.........:bang: :bang:

I'm advocating wait your turn, duh. To hear this story you would think this one chainsaw is a matter of life and death, what a crock.

Glad ya replied though Ekka, what are you advocating my friend, the same ole same ole maybe. Doesn't repeating yourself over and over and over ever get old, hmmmmmmmmmm, wink!

Close but no cigar. I just used that as a example Sawtroll. Though many may think I'm hard nose, where I come from you don't throw everyone else aside just because someone has a problem. The saw shop is not the ER though many seem to think it is. We're talking about a chainsaw, not a heart attack.

(I'll send ya a greenie anyway though, least when you and me disagree we do it kindly)

Thall, you remind me of a saying my dad used to say. He'd say "Thall, you're more full of "feces" than a Christmas turkey!" :hmm3grin2orange:

Tried out the 390 today for a few mins..... So far so good!!!

I'm very grateful to y'all here for the advise and even to grumpy ol' THALL10326 HA HA HA

I phoned the dealer (yes THALL10326, imagine that, me phoning the dealer!!), just to let him know that the saw seemed fine. He explained in detail that there probably was old fuel in it when it left the shop. I didn't ask how long they had it in the shop!! So after cleaning the carb and providing a good sharpening free of charge, all's well! I didn't want to get in to the whole discussion about it leaving the dealer in that state.

They also say there's no "double dawgs with roller type chain catchers" available in Ireland. Actually, I was disappointed to learn from the discussion that they didn't even know about wrap around handles!
