I came across a pic of my poulan 365 when I had the crankcase split.

Here is inside cylinder on 365 60cc. Just showing transfers :msp_wink:

That looks the same as the one I broke down today. I have broken a 365 down before and it had 330 style ports, straight and no "quad" setup......never know.

Bought this today off craigslist:
Creftsman model 358.356080

It runs pretty well and I only paid $40, so I think I did ok, but don't know which Poulan model it replicates.

Can anyone tell me which Poulan CVA model this corresponds to?

LaCrosse, Wisconsin. The on off switch position didn't make a difference.

You need to unplug the wire from the back of switch to rule out a shorted out switch.

Just curious what does the EPA tag have on it for cc's ? What year is it?

Good question, type # as well.

There is a type 1 and type 2 listed for the 365. I thought the type 2 was just a chain brake added but it could signal other changes as well.

Painting is all done, time for a cold one.

That's a really nice find for $40. It's a Poulan 3400, 56 cc. I have two. One in Craftsman colors (mine is red) and one Poulan. Great saws. They are a very strong reliable saw. Easy to work on as well.
Here's a little info from Mike Acres site on the Poulan version.
I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine

Model Profile: 3400

Thanks, Tim. I knew it was a good saw, but most of them I've seen say Craftsman 3.4 or 3.7 or something, so you know which Poulan model it is a sister to - this one had no such markings. The Acres site also didn't list that Craftsman model number, so I was kind of at a loss.
Thanks for the help. I'm sure I'll enjoy mine, too.

Give us the Sears model # off of it, it could be a 3400 or it could be a 3800 as well.

It was a page back

Well it took a few, ok maybe more then a few brews but its been stripped, blasted, primed and painted.

Here it is hanging to dry on my paint drying rack. Cool thing is this rack will lift the front of a lawn mower and one time I found it could pull the motor out of a car!!!

He did in his first post Mark. I checked the Sears IPL against the Poulan ring PN and it appears to be a 3400.

Looks to be in really nice condition.

For the most part, it is in very good condition, but I did get a kick out of one thing - He said the chain was in good condition and I told him it looked pretty dull. He said "I only bought it last year". So I replied, how often do you sharpen it? He said - not since I bought it!!!:msp_biggrin:
