I stopped in at a local saw shop today to see what they had laying around. The only used saw thay had is a very nice Mac Titan 57. That thing almost followed me home....I know nothing about them but it looked like a very well designed and built tool.
But since this is a Poulan thread I should also mention that they had a brand new 16" banana bar complete with nose gaurd that had never been mounted on a saw. It was painted black, not sure what that is about, but it is N.O.S. He got it with a bunch of other stuff from a dealer he bought out. The guy said he wanted $20 for it...
hmmmmm
Maybe I could get him to throw it in with the 57.....:hmm3grin2orange::hmm3grin2orange::hmm3grin2orange:
Anybody need one of those?:bang: I don't need any more saws...I don't need any more saws...:bang:
What is the pinacle of the Poulan chainsaws. They have been based on the large Dolmars and the Partners as well as the domestic units. What one is the baddest and most powerfull one that was built?

Well, the two biggest I know of are the Poulan 6000 at 100cc based on the Dolmar 153 and The Poulan Pro 655 at 98cc based on the Pioneer P62. The PP 655 is a newer saw than the 6000.

That depends on whether you are talking about POULAN saws or rebadges.
The 6000 was a Dolmar and was/is a BAD LAD!
The PP655 was a Partner and likewise was an azzkicker.
I guess the Baddest although not the biggest was the 5200/8500 in the actual Poulan designed and built saws.
I know my 9010 Dolmar was just fractions of a second faster than my 5.2 Crapsman in 22" wood.
That Dolmar was no slouch either!!!
I believe that with the same bar and chain the Poulan /5.2 Craftsman will run neck and neck with an 066 or 390 Husky in wood up to around 30 inches.

I got the chance to work on some saws tonight. The last several weeks have been kind of rough. I had back surgery and then two weeks ago my 17 year old nephew was killed in a accident on his way home from school. The weekend after his funeral we had to take my 7 year old son to the hospital and he had to stay for three days. Last Friday we went to my nephew's high schools first game to support them as he was the captain of the team. He had played ball since he was 5. So this week things slowed down and the family doing better I got the chance tonight to work on some saws. As I sat there trying to get my mind off of things a 1800 I had sitting there caught my eye. I realized then that working on saws can be good for you especially the green ones. At least it helps me relax. Now if I was working on one of them white and orange ones that might be different. I will say the Lord has given us strength and I thank him for giving me something to work on.

A banana Intenz? That's a collector piece.
I don't know what it is, I will have to give him a call and find out...
Is this an April fools thing?
O.K. the Intenz is legit. I don't know what this thing is, it is shaped exactly like th 16" bar I put on my 4200 30 years ago but it is painted black and has a tip gaurd bolted on it

Got these saws off of a" junk pile" about 15 years ago and sat at my dads house under his junk forgotten about. Gonna try and go over em sometime this week.

It might not be a 5400 but it is a 25 super
Well, you still had the craftsman so you weren't thrown out completely.
