Hey, cool! Where's the pics?? I had to look that one up to see what ya had.
Model Profile: 306A
That is the same style as the 245a. I guess..i guess I like that style a little more over the 3400s type chassis style. I don't *dislike* the 3400 high top style, I just prefer that flat top look and feel. So far anyway.
Wonder why Poulan had two so much different styles at the same time, or same era??? Anyone know the reason for that?
Although I don't have all that much saw time with either type to make a real good quantitative distinction which is "better", either.
I now have one 245A (needs a clutch or springs, can't find good ones yet, but I still run it, but my fav so far, not that heavy, beau coup powah, cuts great!), 3 x 3400s (two runners so far, both needed serious oiler repair, haven't even touched the third one yet), a craftsman 2.0 (that might be a poulan 2000?-also untouched) A regular 2000 (pops on a prime), a 295 (runner, needs a clutch side piece) and some other parts junkers. (I consider a junker any saw with a roached piston and cylinder)
My work saw collection is getting there! Still trying to vibe out of the ether a larger one..I know the saw gawdz smile on their chillins when they are ready....and worthy....
...cash helps sometimes, too......
