Can I play? I am not sure if this is a 3700 or a 3800. Kinda ugly but sure cuts good.

Been hunting around and found another one...I don't think it's a 3700 though, maybe..

That looks to be a Super 380 (60cc) and a great saw! I love mine, but the low end grunt of the 3700 (61cc) will teach it a thing or two in large wood.;) Several years ago I did some comparison of the two. Every time the 3700 was faster in the cut than the 380. But, the 380 is quite a bit lighter and more nimble from my experience with them both.

Gregg,

I'm not real sure which version it was because I wasn't really looking for another 25, I do remember it was red and I noticed the little knob on the clutch side for the self sharpener. I never liked the self sharpening saws so I didn't look at it much. I will next time though. The nice thing about that place is, the asking price isn't always the selling price...

I'm not crazy about the PowerSharp setup either (would rather the saw didn't have it)............but I can always swap a non-PC clutch cover on. I have a green S25-CVA parts saw, and would just repaint the CC from it to use on a red Craftsman version if I find one. The Craftsman should be a 2.3VL or 2.3PS/VL if it's a CV model.

Like the guys said, 3700 but with the better starter and AF setups from the 4000. May have a Zama carb instead of a Walbro. Damn good saw. If it was a PP395 it'd be a 4000.

7700 bar info

Anyone know the specs for a bar to fit a Poulan 7700? I want to pick up a 36" bar, but need to know what to look for.

Oregon D196 bar mount with 3/8" slot. Also considered this a Homelite mount. Oregon site lists 240RNDD196 for 24" bar but doesn't list the 36" bar. May be able to use large Husky bar mount with the slot filed out slightly to fit bar studs.

Do you know what the gauge and pitch are supposed to be?

Gregg,

Yeah, there appears to be a lot more plastic on the 380 than on the 3700. I haven't started the 380 in quite a while, maybe it's time I fire it up!

Saw won't idle on it's side

One of my Poulan's won't idle when turned on either side. It will run at WOT on it's side but dies at idle. I just rebuilt the carb because it wouldn't start and now it seems to be running idling pretty good except for the aforementioned problem. Suggestions please.

Thanks.

Sounds like bad crank seals.

I have poulan pro 446t pole saw. Walbro wt carb. Which rebuild kit?

Poulan - - says you have a WT628 User Manuals | Poulan ... also says no rebuild kit.

So I suspect this is a trick question.

Welcome to walbro.com has the general service manuals here wem.walbro.com/distributors/servicemanuals/

Welcome to walbro.com also has http://wem.walbro.com/distributors/ServiceManuals/CarburetorGuide.PDF

there is a WT-628-1 with a rebuild kit, you will have to figure out if it will fit or not.
