In this case with the Dayton, I asked if he had a BIN.
He came back and said make an offer. I did and he said
place a bid and it's yours. He would make up the price
difference in the shipping cost.
I didn't jip any other bidders out of it. And i feel good
about that.

Fair or foul (a matter of individual perception), the offer & its acceptance go against feePay rules. Apparantly backdoor BIN offers are common on feePay, the final ethical decision rests with the seller.

I'll stick with honest bidding, and hope that the sellers do the same.

What's the run down on fixing the oilers on these. Seems like for me commonly they are a problem. I've got a 4000 right now that runs great, manual oiler works but the auto doesn't and I really don't know much about what to do to get it fixed. It has a new bar so the groove is clean and I'm running Stihl winter weight oil so it's not to thick. How to your trouble shoot this series of saws?

Anybody got any suggestions regarding these oil systems?

Hmm? Did you take it apart to see whats wrong with it? There a very simple impulse system. They quit working only when neglected and fed dirty oil, or just get tired after 30+ years old.

Poulan still had the diaphragrms for these the last time I checked. Do you have the service manual for them, if not have you asked for one?

I know you poulan gurus will know this. The guy looking for the 3400 AF cover had a question for me. I dont know the older poulan stuff like you gurus do. So here is the question.

He wanted to know if my extra 4000 high top AF cover would work on his 3400 cylinder cover. I said yes.

This brought up another question that I pondered and told him to ask you guys. Will the flat 3400 air filter stay in place with the high top cover or will he need a 4000 air filter with high top cover? I haven't a clue if the 4000 filter will fit the 3400 cyl cover though.

Nope haven't taken it apart. I guess I'll get a service manual and go from there.

He will have to (and should want to) get the 4000 filter to go with it.

I'm not too computer savvy. How do you post sections (one or a few pages) from a PDF doccument (such as a Service Manual) here? Been meaning to ask you since I've seen you post them here a few times.

You need a PDF writer like PDFredirect. Once you have one just choose the print option from the menu in the open PDF. You can then choose to write it to PDF redirect and then choose the pages youj want to print to PDF.

That S25 Counter Vibe I bought needs a clutch, drum, and assorted bits. Also the upper anti vibe buffer is broked. :(

Parts for these jewels anyone?

I might have a clutch, you need the washers too? The sprocket/drum you might as well get on ebay, not hard to find.

As for the top antivibe mount? Good luck. :)

I might have the clutch Mark......I have a "box o Poulan" under the bench. If not I'll be around. :D

Everything is missing from the stub out.....

AV mount blues huh??????

Is there a decent "fix"?????

I have had a couple of ideas for a fix on them but have not got that far yet.

Make sure you have the 2 washers for the clutch, a small one behind the drum and the larger one inside the drum against the clutch.

I MIGHT have a decent fix for ya!

I'll check after work tomorrow.
I wouldn't do it for everyone, but I might have one in my super secret stash of Poulan parts.
I can't remember if I've used it or not.
