looks like I was wrong it's a ms440 vs the ms260 but here's a video.
Now do one with an old 044 Slant Fin with a bigger sprocket.

Exactly. A guy came into my shop recently and was asking if a 372XP (X-Torque) would run a 36” bar, I think we know what the answer to that question is. Ended up selling him a 592XP with full wrap and a 36” bar. Big wood requires a big saw.The thing is the whole reason for a bigger saw is a bigger bar right? Bigger saw for bigger logs. Im not a fan of long bars on smaller saws. And for this test to be a fair comparison they should both be tested in big hardwood logs too.
And this ladies and gentlemen is why we own more then one saw....Exactly. A 460 is a turd of a saw.not sure how the 400 compares to the ms460 but a turned up ms260 can spank a stock ms460.
Mini derail, how are people taking to the 592xp?Exactly. A guy came into my shop recently and was asking if a 372XP (X-Torque) would run a 36” bar, I think we know what the answer to that question is. Ended up selling him a 592XP with full wrap and a 36” bar. Big wood requires a big saw.

Very well so far. It’s an awesome saw, Husqvarna did a great job with the overall design of the 592XP.Mini derail, how are people taking to the 592xp?
Good to know. Considering selling my 394xp to help fund one.Very well so far. It’s an awesome saw, Husqvarna did a great job with the overall design of the 592XP.
Yeah they’re not cheap by any means. Nothing good is though.Good to know. Considering selling my 394xp to help fund one.

That's not a 460. Really disappointed with the last one I ran. To the point I questioned why stihl would release something so heavy and enemic?Well my 046 surely isn't.
I say vids. I can barely make one beat a 361 without using a bigger carb

Right? I should make a comparo vid of my hopped up 2511 smoking a stock 260 in a puny little 4" piece of wood lol.Cool now ,what happens when the log diameter doubles or even bigger? Is that your work?
