Hey guys thought I should give the heads up here vs. the I saw it on ebay thread.

I thought I saw a post where somebody was looking for a holliday or hollidayII.
Lets see if I can linky: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320488542609&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

That doesn't look like it will work. If it doesn't, let me know and I can at least post seller name. Still has 4 days left I believe.

Of course if they are just layin in the scrap metal bin... Jk Nice p28:)

That is a very nice 1072, the 970 is more common Holliday II, this one is a little less seen model, if it was close to me I would pick it up for the collection. I have a very nice 970 Holliday II but not the 1072 Holliday II

Shipping alone would probly kill you to get it there!!!

I might bid on it if it's a little rarer than the norm.

Lol I bet it needs a primer like my 1120 does!

Stupid me and stupid -bay. Went thru a short CAD series there. lol No harm done unless your my bank account. Oh the looks on my roomies eyes as box number 7 or was it 10 appeared on the porch:greenchainsaw:

Funny thing is I'm still waiting on a few mis-ship\slow shippers.

Some day soon (tax return checks are hard on pockets. They burn holes in them!!!) I will get a camera and be able to post a few good pics for ya all.

Jerry, that's a nice P28 for a freebie, chainbrake and everything! It must be the model just before they went with anti-vibe. Do you know if it has electronic ignition?

Only sounds normal to me Bill, 5-10 arrive here each month through the mail or courier like UPS and Sameday.

Hi guys new to the site and liking it a lot, hey Im after a coil for the NU-17. Is there another coil that will fit this old bad boy? Any help would be great, cheers.

There is quite a few of the old Varnished coils from the other models of IEL saws that would fit the NU17, they are not plentyful but they are out there. I have personally taken coils from the Pioneer 600 series saws and mounted them on the existing laminate frame that holds the Varnished type coil. The laminate frame needs a little resizing to allow the newer Phenolitic coil to fit the frame but its not hard to do at all and there seems to be a lot more 600 series coils available than the older varnished type. The older Varnished coils are fairly costly if a good one can be found, they also can be rewound and sealed at an armature rewind shop but that would be a really costly proposition. Let us know the route you would like to take and hopefully one of us will be able to help you out.

Not bad for a freebie at all, everything works as it should now and the comp is almost like new,the brake band shows no wear marks either, it must be the model made just before the anti vibe models came out, it is an electronic ign. model. I have a couple of the newer anti. vibe handled parts saws , one is a P26, the other is a P28 Electronic Easy Arc.

P42 power

Used my P42 and P51 to take down and cut up this one. The P42 with the 32 inch bar did most of the work. The P51 needs a set of rings and possibly a piston. Man I love Pioneers.......

Now that's a tree I'd like to get some cut time on. I could learn a lot just bucking that one up!

Nice pics!

Had a pioneer question, so I figured I would go to the pioneer thread!

Need help finding either a Tillotson HL-22A carb or a possible carb kit for it?

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Which do you prefer, a carb or the kit for one? The carb kits for the Tillotson HL carbs are as easy to find as a trip to any engine repair shop or a PM sent to any of this sites sponsors. I got some really good kits from Calvin at Lawnmowertech.
