Aside from using a zip tie around the shut off valve stem that is connected to the throttle trigger, you have covered it well.
Do you suppose the throttle isn't opening the shut off valve far enough? Never thought of a zip tie...Aside from using a zip tie around the shut off valve stem that is connected to the throttle trigger, you have covered it well.

Got 'er working good... Well, at least now I get more than bubbles.Just use some thing that wold hold it wide open.
The reason the shut off valve is there is so the tank pressure won't empty out the oil at idle or post running.
Who needs a half pint of bar oil on the floor.[emoji34]

The throttle lever was all chewed up/wore out and wasn't opening the valve 100%. Easy fix. Thanks 67L36Driver!!
Throttle trigger?
Post a pic. I likely have one or three you can have.

Which is more collectible?
Remy PL-6 or SL-7A??
Ok.Equally scarce JM .02
Parts are non existent on evilbay.
Ok.
I have a PL6 w/ great compression that has a cracked crankcase, and a SL7A that runs but has terrible compression(85psi)
So which one should I rebuild?
Okay will do...Study the respective IPL's and put the PL-6 top end on the SL-7.
...Also planning on trying a base gasket delete
Happy new year to everyone!
Well, a base gasket delete is not happening, w/o the gasket, the exhaust port will be partly closed when fully open.
Blew that idea right out of the water...
It's probably better stock anyways.
Wishful thinking can be fun...
Not sure what this means?Relieve the piston some?
