I have one of these bars too.

Great stuff Cliff. That's interesting that there's different 'uni-mount' part numbers for Mcculloch (and a buncha others) verses Homelite (and another bunch of saws). I've used the uni-mount Duo-tronic bar you sent me with the Homelite 1130G on my McCulloch 650 gear drive. I need to pull the 25" RN off of my Wards/Mono WD60 to see if it has the uni-mount tail. If it does, then that bar will spend some time on my large frame Homelites!

I have Remington bars with this type of roller nose(2 and 2 1/2"), that have the mltli hole tail stock, but not like the bar Mr Bow Saw put up. That I've only seen in pictures. Interesting that oregon might have been contracted to produce bars for Remington?

I'm not surprised. Oregon and Windsor (and others) have been producing OEM bars for several saw companies since the beginning of chainsaws. Most "Homelite" branded bars of the 60s through the 90s were Windsors for example.

What size are you looking for? I'm sure I could help you out.

My bad, I see that your looking for a tip. I'll check my stock and see what I have. Let you know later.

Number is the same as the ones on my 75A's 20" bar.

Those rollernose are oversized so that they will accept any gauge of chain. It's not like todays bars, where they have to be matched with the drive sprocket. Least that is how I've been running them:)

Dang, I was looking to pick that roller nose up........it was relisted a few times, but I was waiting on some more info on an old carb he had. Glad to see it went to someone who could make use of it.

I got it only because it gave me a warm, fuzzy feeling knowing I have one if I really need it.

B.T.W. Do they slide into the end of the bar or do you have to remove the rivits and keeper(?) block and rerivit?

+1

Just slide it on. It will click in with some force. They are designed to be held in place by the tension of the chain.

Pretty dang slick. Wish the other RN and sprocket tip bars were that easy to service. To my eye, the Remington type roller also looks more sturdy than the 'floating roller' Torrington/Oregon RN setup as seen on Oregon, Cannon, and General RN bars. I have a little 15 or 16" Remington RN that came to me on a McCulloch 250. Didn't have the 'universal' swiss cheese bar tail, and nothing looked modified to fit the Mac. Who knows. I'll probably use it as a GTG/racin' bar with a loop of 3/8" .063G square chisel and a 9 or 10 pin rim on my McCulloch Super 250 sometime down the road. Oughta be a hoot...:D

Pl-4

Been watching for an air filter for my PL-4 to no avail. So I decided to soak it in dish soap and water then blew it off, looks almost new now!

I bought a new air filter for my 10-10S. Then I washed the old one in hot water and Simple Green. Havn't purchased a new filter since. Every one has cleaned up great.

Anyone need a clean used air filter for a 10-10S or a Homie XL-101(ish)?

I could use the 10-10 filter on my PM700 Carl.

Interesting. Richmond is only about 40 minutes from me. Bad place to go nowadays. Bars on the windows. Lotsa killing. I wonder if Granberg is still located there.
