So, bought not a saw today…
bought a project.
a stack of boxes marked Husky parts with everything catalogued by pt#
no idea what just yet but the guy used to have a shop way back when. I got the pile for what I think will be better than fair.

Stay tuned for a list :p

all older stuff. One box of just plastic covers…lots of envelopes of little pts. Will be fun to go through it all and catalog everything to an OCR database.

he has a stack of Shindaiwa pts as well but I have never used one of those saws so wouldn’t know what I was looking at. Any Shindaiwa collectors here who might want parts?

Y'all 'd be welcome to stop by anytime, Sean......but it is a bit of a drive for a dawg...lol.
Thank you fine sir! If I ever get out your way I'll be sure to message you. I'd actually really like to meet more of the guys on this thread, only 2 so far farmer steve (top rate guy) and wagz (very cool guy as well, and local to me). Always fun to put a face to a screen name lol.

Wow. Been gone for a few weeks (or maybe a month? :) ), and have no idea how many pages have gone by since my last visit. It's going to take me a full day to go back and catch up if that's what I decide to do! Hope everybody's doing well. Too darn hot out for this Yooper!

Covid sure has some weird side effects. I have been dealing with hives and rashes since before I knew that I had it my wife does not have this side effect. This morning I woke up looking like the hulk on my forehead. F U China.

Crikey Jim, it made you go bald too! :crazy2:

Generally rubbish weather continuing down here and wet again today. They've had a metre of snow up at the ski resort but just a lot of rain and overcast down in the valley. We did have a nice day on Sunday and yesterday wasn't bad before the cloud started to come in late.

Nope, that was happening long before I got Covid. The forehead bumps have just about gone away as of this morning except for a new cyclops one dead center. I got out of bed this morning and my lower lip on the right side blew up like a balloon. I just can't win with this Covid. No, I didn't bite my lip. I may have to go on something like Predisone to kill this off.

A recollection:

It was the Bicentennial 4th of July, I was 24, and it was the last 4th of July before I got married. We assembled a group of 22 cars with open headers and went cruising around. The NYS Troopers saw us gathering and approached us. They informed us that as long as we did not drive recklessly, they would leave us alone. We proceeded to cruise through various neighborhoods where each of us lived. When we got to my house, my friend's father (who had been a Marine in the Pacific in WWII) was standing in the road with a big smile on his face.

He told me he heard us coming from a long way away but did not know what the heck it was. Said it sounding like a battleship was coming down the road, but he knew it could not be that! He thought what we were doing was just great!

Then someone got the great idea of going into the City of Peekskill itself! Only 6 of us were foolish enough to partake in this activity. The folks were cheering us from the sidewalks, from second story windows, from everywhere, you would have thought we were the Blue Angles or something! Then we all got stopped at a light, and in response to all the cheering, the lead guy dumped the clutch and took off, and all the rest of us followed suit, not realizing there was an unmarked car parked across the street watching us.

We were about a mile out of town when we got stopped at another light, with cars in front of us, as the sirens descended upon us. Police cars totally surrounded us, and they forced us to give them our license and registration and follow them back to the police station, where we all got tickets for no muffles and unsafe start.

I'll tell you one thing; we all still remember and talk about that day. Happy 4th!

An anti-histamine might be a good option Jim.
I have been taking Benadryl to stop the itches. Every day they are somewhere else. My lip is fine today. The forehead bumps are gone. One big bump on my chin and a bunch on both legs . I'll be glad when this is gone. I'll call my doctor today to see what he suggests.
