Anyone have any thoughts on what a 5 cubic inch McCullough is worth? Been finding a lot of 1-41/42 and 250s for sale around the $200.00 mark. I understand they have the 80cc kart engines in them. Would make a fun old school project. Not that I need another project, or another saw.

May the inventory-ing begin...20230706_154115.jpglots of little misc parts but they are all categorized by pt#.
Lots of bolts, filters, a few pistons, clutches, coils.
Sm pile of Homlite bars he threw on the truck. Roll of 404/.050 rip chain. Box of old, used Mac pts.
He's gonna go through other piles of boxes and see what else he can find, lol
This is going to take a while...😳

No cylinders...bummer...but, several cranks, lots of brake handles, pull springs, triggers..
395 case...

Worked on the Ranger changed the differential oil snapped a bolt had to run out for an ez out . New cover as it wasn’t worth my time to sand and paint the old one IMG_6677.jpegIMG_6678.jpegIMG_6687.jpegand now I took it for a real ride and I believe a front hub is going so I’ll jack it up tomorrow and check wouldn’t surprise me everything is original on the truck

And to add to it I started to detail the exterior. I’m repainting the hood clear is shot . Like I said I have a condition.

Actually... The circled skull is the male side of that couple. So maybe he is still yelling at her. 700 years ago, there was no women's lib, and a fellow was expected to beat his wife every now and then, just to keep the respect of his peers.

Wow, lots of goodies in there!

Nos 2100/2101 starter & air filter cover are sweet..... I don't need em right now, but I almost wish I did.....

It's going to be like Christmas digging through all that stuff....🤣

We interrupt this other stuff thread for this scrounging firewood public service announcement:

As I expected, my new best friend's from last month emailed me to see if I wanted the pile of firewood that was left. His brother in law wanted it, but I figured his eyes were going to be bigger than his truck. So, there are probably five or six loads total. I got these three loads today and will go back over the weekend for the rest.

No wheelbarrows were harmed in the making of this public service announcement. Now back to your regularly scheduled other stuff programming.

A while ago I was given a ms390 by a co-worker that his mom straight gassed. Basically been trying to give it away, it's a low hr saw very nice. Just sitting on a shelf collecting dust. My normal shift partner came back from his vacation today and asked to borrow a saw. I kinda laughed at him and asked what for? Has a big tree he needs to take care of and his ms251 is giving him grief. Told him I had the perfect saw lol. Gave him the rundown with it, and some options to fix it. After this tree it will be his occasional use saw so not going to dump a ton of money in it. I looked at several cylinder kits, I've had some decent luck with dukes brand on other saws of this series. Hiway seems to be getting pretty proud of their product these days. We'll see how bad it is once it's apart. Hoping just a piston and clean up the cylinder.

Need a crank?

Don't know if I posted this here before or not, but I don't think so. I bought the Woodland Mills 8" chipper and their stump grinder as well. We can REALLY use the stump grinder on our property, which was selectively logged about 10 or 15 years ago (before we bought it). Stumps everywhere in our woods.

Got the stump grinder about ready to go now. Been putting off cutting the PTO shaft and a few other details for over a week now. Still have to cut the PTO shaft on the chipper, add the hydraulic fluid to it and lower the base to get the PTO shaft angle correct. But I should be good to go with both of them by the end of the week. I hope so anyway.

I also took the tractor to a friend's house last week to set his new standby generator up on the platform that he had built for it (I don't know why he put it up on a platform). After that, on the way home I stopped at the bar to have a cold one, and just had to get a picture of the tractor parked in front of it LOL.

You sound like me. You just like buying projects to keep yourself very busy.
