Do you sell your slabs, or are they for personal use, or a combination of both?OK, OK, been busy!
It was nice to finally make enough space to work a little easier (w/o heavy equipment). Milling close to the ground makes the old body complain a bit, but we got a good amount done.
Only for personal use. A couple of years ago I milled some logs for $, but it was too much work.Do you sell your slabs, or are they for personal use, or a combination of both?
looks like your all set with the Boy Scout method just in case that kindling doesn't quite get your fire startedView attachment 1117576View attachment 1117577
A couple weeks ago I split up a bunch of kindling. It's good and dry now so I moved it inside ahead of the rain. Normally I split kindling as I go on a daily basis, so this is new to me. My wife will appreciate it when I'm not home.....which she seems to appreciate a little too much.
Didn't remember you ONLY had a CSM. Yes, I guess you did have a time milling around that mess. I have to cut firewood out of piles like that and I sympathize with you. It's hard on the back. Still, I wish I had a big saw and a CSM and to be able to mill lumber when ever I need it. Heavy equipment would be nice. Could you have chained up the log and pull it out of the pile onto clear ground with your truck?OK, OK, been busy!

That was just a recent thing from what I've gathered, but yanmar was supposedly supplying the engines to tym anyway. It's a shame as far as I'm concerned, yanmar made an excellent tractor under their brand and just about every smaller deere tractor for years. Hopefully quality doesn't go down hill. I really like my old yanmar I have, besides it's just 2wd.From what I understand TYM is building some of Yanmar's compact and sub-compact tractors. Maybe it's just a way of streamlining the product line and eliminating some of the smoke and mirrors?
It would have ended up in the street. I have limited space.Could you have chained up the log and pull it out of the pile onto clear ground with your truck?
I have a top link on my tractor but no side link. If I'm running my hydraulic feed chipper and a grapple on the front then something needs to get unplugged. Fortunately the top link stays where it is at because it needs pressure to move it in and out. Maybe someday I'll rig up a bracket for the 3rd lever.I wish my B had room for 2, I'd live a top and tilt kit for the drag box...
Beater saws are great. It’s why we keep 3 extras in the bed just in caseIt would have ended up in the street. I have limited space.
I have several MS660s (066s) and 660 clones that I use for the milling.
All were either Asian clone kits or dead saws brought back to life. (or a combination of both), so they did not break the bank.
I dunno, when guys in my neighborhood started trading in their old Kubotas and replacing them with much more affordable LS models, I was skeptical, but time has proven me wrong. They have been solid, parts seem to be plentiful and rhe dealer network continues to grow. Hopefully the same holds true for TYM with their expansion into our market. That was just a recent thing from what I've gathered, but yanmar was supposedly supplying the engines to tym anyway. Man, this lousy twisted box elder doesn't stack worth a darn. And I already have a couple of mountains of uglies.

Mahindra has exploded up along the county line... never seen so many red tractors before... !I dunno, when guys in my neighborhood started trading in their old Kubotas and replacing them with much more affordable LS models, I was skeptical, but time has proven me wrong.
