Stihl and Husky have somewhat different approaches to sales. Stihl is only through dealer. Husky is somewhat confusing. Pro saws no Internet sales and homeowner saws you can buy anywhere.
I was trying to get an idea of how many Stihls and Husky's are sold to professionals and to homeowners. Mainly to see who had the highest percentage sold to professionals. I would think Stihl would have more pro sales and Husky would have higher sales to the homeowner.
Just a guess based on marketing.

Thanks for the info.

Locally here it is almost all Stihl for commercial use. That being said the commercial users buy less than 50% commercial/professional rated saws.

The only other actual dealers with in the area are Jonsered and Echo and they sell less total saws than one of the Stihl dealer sells Stihl 1127s.

Home Depot, Lowes, and TSC are the largest chainsaw vendors in the area and move a lot of saws but it has been difficult to get actual numbers. The typical customers are home owners, land owners and or farmers. They sell way more Poulans and Homelite than Echos and Husqvarnas. The ratio used to be +10-1. There is one company that would order a pallet of saws from Lowes, TSC or a Stihl dealer depending on which cuts the best price per unit, I do not know if they still do that as they have been all Stihl the last couple of pallets.

After Stihl it is Echo and then Husqvarna products. Most of the commercial Husqvarna products are purchased from dealers in the Columbus or the Cleveland area. That is also where the lonely Dolmars come from. There was one company trying out new Dolmars but they returned them and went back to Stihl. Parts, price and service was the main complaint.

There was a while that for every Jonsered sold one of the Stihl dealers was selling 25+ saws, non commercial users.
