Bar tip

I need a .404 bar tip for a stihl bar. The Stihl number for the bar is: 3002-000-9753. The Stihl number for the tip is: 3003-650-2538. This is the wide bar for the 075. If anyone has one for sale please send me a P M. Thanks Tom

I would like to trade this new never used 24'' pioneer bar for a GOOD 24'' bar for a PM700 or a GOOD 24-28'' bar for a MS460. I guess I would take some dead presidents also or ?

I still have this bar but don't need a bar for the Mac just the 24-28'' bar for the MS460 (hopefully 28'')

Thanks for the muffler

This is the part I need
1110 791 1901 1 Handlebar support

It is the bracket that attaches the front wrap to the crankcase.

Part number 24.

If that makes sense.Have parts or green.

This is what I get for loaning her out. They then had the nerve to ask if I had another saw they could use.Never once mentioned even paying for the part they broke.
Gotta love relatives.

Scooterbum, I happen to have that exact saw that I was thinking about doing some trading on. However, since you were so helpful with the muffler, how about I just box it up and send it to you? It's not really a parts saw, it still has about 150 lbs of compression and was running, but I robbed the b/c and a clutch cover. Shoot me a PM with your email and I'll send some pics to see if it's what you need.

ive decided that i really dont like the 372xp compared to the ms440 so, what i have is a 2003 372xp thats fresh from top to bottom. heres a list of whats new.
new bearings and seals
new oem 1 ring piston and ring
new engine cover
new starter rewind
new clutch cover
new oem crank(out of a 2009)
new muffler with muffler mod
fresh carb rebuild
2 week old bar and chain (24" husky solid roller tip)
new gas tank

this saw has a milled cylinder but no popup piston. it has a good woods port. i built this as a work saw and is very strong. it has about 8 tanks thru it and still is not broke in, the saw is pretty cherry,i want to trade it for a cherry ms440 or would sale it straight out for 500 but would rather trade it for a cherry ms440. i will get a pic of it up as soon as i can.

:cry::cry::cry:

I cry for the husky that doesn't have any love!!! :hmm3grin2orange:

I wish I had a cherry 440!! I have a cherry old 044 though!

its one mean a s s little saw. im just more comfortable with the antivbe of the stihl rather than the spring mounts of the husky. im heading into about 6 months worth of of clear cutting and just want another 440 to do it with.

ive probably had a dozen ms440's and thought id see what all the hype was on the 372xp and although it will flat out haul as s and is a really nice saw it just boils down to preference. im definatley not bad mouthing my 372 just prefer the 440

Well said. I agree about the preference thing, but mine lies to the 372.

Will,..I think it comes down to whatever saw we try and if it gives good service and we grow used to it then that becomes a preference. I tried Stihl back in 89-90 when our Sachs Dolmar dealer packed it in, the 044 was my first modern Stihl, I run the *** out of it and it never complained, now I have 5 and couldn`t see being without them. Huskies are great saws but they just don`t handle right for me, can`t get used to the springy suspension I guess. My cutting buddy on the other hand is a dyed in the wool Husky fanatic, it makes good natured rivalry between us,provides some good banter between us and lots of wood gets cut up when we are at it.

Picture of the Homelite bar tip

JJ, I've added a picture of the bar tip. Hope that helps ID it.

Thanks

Jon

hey Jon-

How many rivets does your tip take? Homelite was getting some of those tips through Windsor and some through Oregon. So it's likely that the replacement is one of those two brands.
