my mom was setting there lol i can ask
I have a Makita 12" chop saw. It has really good compression (can take a reading if desired) all paint in nice shape, and runs great. I bought this at an auction just for a job to repair a steel hulled barge. It cut the 3/8 plate like butter and I put maybe 8-10 hours on it.
I don't need anything but am open for trades of running, projects, and denero. Let me know what you have if interested.
Hey JJ,have you had any time to check on that 3400 stuff,I do have an 18" and a couple of 22" Remington bars
Hey Randy-
If you don't get any bites on this then I may be able to set you up with something in trade when I get back from my current assignment.
NP, I was rearranging some stuff and found it. Had almost 2 yo gas in it and it fired right up. No hurry at all
I have two old saws that I have been thinking about working on and getting to run because they have set for years but also think about getting rid of them and getting something I can use.
One is a Mono not sure of the model but big and the other is a Titan and is also big.
I will get some pics when I get a chance.

I have the flywheel cover w/out the tag. Otherwise most of the body parts but not the top handle or gas tank. SXL parts I have the inner muffler parts on the 2 peice muff but not the outter cover. Plus a couple parts saws with some to most parts attached....Just not the muffs I had to look long and hard for a couple too:bang:

Thanks for getting back to me. Been away from the computer for a couple of days. My flywheel cover is actualy fine (at least I think it its...........it's still all grimey, so a crack could be hiding somewhere). I just need the tag, and would take a complete cover to get one if need be. I need a good P/C, and have a line on an NOS jug and aftermarket piston. Otherwise, I think I'm OK on that saw (will know for sure at teardown), other than the new bearings, seals, and gaskets that I'm going to need when I rebuild it.

I hear you on the XL12/SXL muffler situation. Seems that the outer can and cover are always cracked and/or rusted.
Possibly interested in the Mono, depending on model and condition.

Dan-
I do actually have the 3400 if they are the same as the Craftsman 3700. I have a Craftsman 3700 parts rig. Unfortunately I just left on an assignment for work for a while and am 2100 miles from my shop.
Thanks JJ,I don't know if the 3700 parts will work or not.Madsaw has the parts so I think I'll get them from him. However I will save you a 16" or 18" Remington roller tip,let me know which one you would rather have. Just let me know when you want it and we can work something out. Thanks, D.Brown
