Sorry no. Its 1-1/4. i can stretch it in my bolt stretcher with some modified tooling if needed.

Brian

Thanks, anyway. I ended up going to a place called Home Depot? I had never heard of it before but, they are next to the chainsaw shop that is across the street from my house. Turns out they sell stuff to do stuff with. I didn't have any money but, the guy at the saw shop told me if I would quit talking to his customers and never come back on his property he would give me $3.65. I'm no dummy, I took that money and ran.

The guy working the paint counter said that blue tape was on sale, and I love blue :), so I bought a tube of caulk and used that to hold everything together.

But that's not the best part. When I was being escorted out of the store by security I felt something in my shoe. You guessed it, a 1-5/8" drywall screw. I think if I clean the blood off it will work great for holding the chainbrake off.

Thanks to everyone for your help.

This whole tangent has had me Laughing so hard. But this one got me for some reason! lol.

Thanks Scoot, I never thought of that. I looked everywhere and even called a screw dealer and they said 1-5/8" screws were NLA and I should try dubble bubble gum. I just need a couple coarse thread drywall screws to finish attaching the carburetor, muffler, flywheel, kill switch, airfilter, clutch cover, recoil spring and crank bearings on this mini-mac that jon1212 was kind enough to turn me onto in the craigslist thread.

I'm not gonna stop until this thing's back in action or, if I can't find dang sheetrock screws, i'll just throw it in the trash. I ain't gonna beg no more, if y'all don't believe just you watch and see.

I have some very coarse drywall screws, theyre made for laminating drywall over plaster....you need? Guess I replied to soon...you need to be very careful with these if they get into your foot you have to get a drill and back them out

Quick screw tangent...

I stop in to see my cousin, he has just installed weatherstripping around 3 garage doors with drywall screws at about 3" spacing. Probably 500 screws.

Me: "Why'd you use screws?"
Him: "Nails."
Me: "Screws, I can see the heads."
Him: "Nails."
Me: "Screws."
Him: "It all depends on the method of installation."

:D

I'm going to Nashville. Should I be on the lookout for anything for you guys?

I bet I'll pass a Home Depot......and a Lowes.........

I heard that anything is fixable with liquid nails and duct tape. :msp_unsure:

I heard that is true but the red duct tape works the best. Don't forget some JB weld.

You guys that have good dealers around you are lucky! I have one Stihl dealer near me that is a complete joke! I went in there to get a flywheel key for a 031.He didn't have one said he had a used one he would sell me LOL He wanted 2.00 for it! Went to napa down the street got a new one for .49 cents LOL Then I needed the guts for a 012 oil pump.He wouldn't even order it for me?Said he could sell me a new one for 80.00! I won't go there again for anything! How can the guy stihl be open? So now I get all my Stihl parts on line or in here LOL

As long as my order or the order they already have is over $10, my dealer will get me what ever I need.

I had bought a few things from him before.Always try to buy junk saws too.But he won't sell me any LOL I was told he puts used parts in a lot of the repairs he does? Not sure how he gets away with that? I hope to find another dealer not real far away? But no luck so far? Just to easy to get things on line.Just sometimes I need it now! LOL

So I looked all over the interweb, and checked all over my local Dollar Tree, but I can't find them red olde timey shop rags nowhere. I like them best 'cause when I go out around town I keep one folded just right hangin' out of my back pocket. That way people don't have to ask me what I do fer a livin' they can already tell I'm a mechanick.
So if you fellas have any extree ones a layin' about i'd be happy as a pig in a poke to have some. I dont have much fer tradin' scratch, but I got a couple custom sheetrock screws that my best bud Scoot dun sent me with instructions on how to cut them down from 2" to 1 and 5 eights and weld 'em up with the JB.
Oh I almost fergot to tell you guys, I made a flywheel key. What I done was I looked through my grate grate pappy's tools, and I found one of his wooden handle screwdrivers with the squared shaft long part, well wouldn't you know it's the same size as them NLA flywheel keys for my Poulan Pro 4218AVX, so I fired up my Mini Mac with the carbite blade and cut that sumbeech down to the right length, it was really scary 'cause that chain would grab that thing and fling it all over my shop which is how I got this hole in my shin...........well any ways what I did was cut it down and it fits perfectly, that flywheel might break, but at least the key will last.
There's a bunch more screwdrivers in there too, along with some square box wrenches, and a hand drill, and a whole mess of other tools cause my grate grate paw paw was a railroad man before WWI. My best bud Scoot reminds me of him, cause he looked like Santa.

Interesting factoid for ya'........Non carbonated Rockstar Lemonade still burns when it comes out your nose, however being sugar free it is much easier to clean up.

Oh lest I forget, I have bestowed upon you copious amounts of positive reputation.
