Not a chainsaw part I need, but seen it done on here before so out of desperation - I need a Tecumseh 5.5HP Carburetor, Part # 640174 or 640262 for a recently acquired push mower I'm working on. The Bay just wants to damn much for them. Got the norm to barter with or green TP :msp_biggrin:.

Have you run yours through an ultra-sonic cleaner? Those carbs don't usually go bad. The primers need replacing once in a while but that's about it.

It's not really a problem getting the carb clean again. The problem is the previous owner had let it sit in the weather since last year during which the bowl filled up with water and rusted/corroded everything inside the carb. So they thought they would take the carb apart and when attempting to unscrew the bowl nut it broke off up inside the carb. Hence the reason I got the mower free. I tried to remove the remaining piece with a EZ-Out to no avail and gave up on repairing the carb.

Gotcha. Well, new, those carbs aren't that much, around $40 at a dealer. They're about the simplest carb ever.

Nope what i'm trying to say is i rode the Gokart up and down the road to have fun. But after getting the S10 i don't ride it no more.

Charles, are you saying that before you got the Chevy S10 PU, you drove the go-cart to run errands and such?

OK, I was a little confused, thanks for the clarification.

Back on topic-- I have the following for trade. If interested, let me know, I can provide more details & photos. I have other parts for trade, but these are the ones I'll never get to.

Homelite C-72--Complete (chain is worthless, bar might be OK for nasty jobs, I wouldn't bother with it, prefer to ship as PHO), clean for it's age. If no bites, I might just have to send it to an armed well-dressed primate :monkey:.

Homelite Super 2--Yeah, yeah, I know. Complete, clean, p&c good thru exhaust.

Echo CS-440--complete but disassembled, lots of good parts except p&c and brake band are toast. I'd like to keep the bar, but we ain't married. NOTE--Unless someone has a good CS-520 p&c they're willing to part with??

The guy trys to help you out and you just smart off. Maybe you need to adjust your bifocals but that doesnt look like rust to me.

Ummmm, I don't remember asking for anyone else's opinion.

Now easy fella's i'm use to it by now.But we have talked and i have cleaned the carb up best i could and he decided to get it and try it out.

so please fella's don't worry about it. i'm just on here to help.

i might just be out of line here and if i am then tell me,,, but i thought this thread was for swapping/trading parts and not bickering like a bunch of school kids,, there has been to many pages of whinning and crying and bit****g about what one has said or not said,, once in a while i guess is ok,, i bit** once in a while too,,, but dang it i get tired of all the pages that i have to read through to see what parts are needed or are available,,,
i know,, i know stop belly aching,, i just had to put my 2 cents in here

I need a milling saw, 100cc or bigger. Nothing TOO obscure so that if something goes, the saw doesn't become a boat anchor. PM me with what you have and the condition, not running is fine within reason.

I have parts, saws, or $$$ to trade.
