crank seals, base gasket ,intake boot loose or holed, impulse line cracked and stuffed fuel line,it might even leak from the bush where the clutch does up but i would would check any rubber components first ,a vac test is in order

Yeah not looking good all the rubbers were fine, the saw looks barely used, piston and cylinder look tip top. Looks like I'll have to get a little vac pump. Does anyone know if these vac pumps also do pressure? If not were should I get one? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1433501236.184653.jpg

Mityvac make a good quality one similar to that setup and it does both vac and pressure. But get the "pro" model with alloy construction not the cheaper plastic model. Thats what I used to use and it worked a treat.

We've sold a **** load of saws this year. I think people are getting more frugal with there money but are willing to purchase products that know are quality are will last and it's making saws they would normally be uneconomical to repair worth it again as saws have gone up so its been good and made me very busy lately. Sold a 241 today, love those things! What's every one up to this weekend? I hope to run the new addition to the clan, MS 201 TC-M :)

Well hopefully i'm taking heckle & jeckle out for a run

Leaving your self wide open with this pic mate,,,,, I won't say anything but Matt the original might. he does these things.

Nice pair of Stihls.

Mummy and eldest have gone away for the weekend so its fencing, fencing for me and the young bloke, oh goody. River flats still soft, 4x4 tractor marking the grass just moving over it.

Still spraying paddocks like a mad thing while the sun shines.
On the quad today after scaring myself witless in the cruiser yesterday. Ground is hard and cold, but slimy on top. Once it rains again it'll be all atv or tractor work....

On a side note, any 4x4 nutters on here? I broke (again) the sway bar mount on the front of a 79 series and I swear it's nicer to drive.

It'll do everything better without it except go round corners....lot more body roll.

Off camping and 4x4ing. Got the mighty Ozito packed and a Stihl backup.
I don't run a frontsawybar at all. Just a rear which is detachable.

Nice choice of backup saw Vince.

Don't let the other campers see your main saw though.

You can still get them for $69 from Bunnings if you can find stock....you have to tell them that was the advertised price you saw...it was a mistaken promotion by the looks of it. ...Bairnsdale has 5 more in stock but they are shown in the catalogue at almost double the price...their cash registers still have a link to the cheap price though.

That's the thing, I'd swear it doesn't drive worse down the road. Although that isn't saying much as this is the most "wheelbarrow full of walrus" of the four of them anyway.
I swear it needs castor correction, but it wheel aligns up in spec.

Geez mate, lightning with it !!!!!!

Go round parallel to outside, then cut like you were doing it next time round it ..... :D

I'd come and give you a demo' but can feel a broken arm coming on any day now..lol

Looks like a good splitter though & after that.....you said.....:givebeer:

I don't drink mate, not a drop, but the log splitter in my hands is far better than pretty much everything I have used......huge bonus is it doesn't jam in the timber, split about 2.5cu. mtrs and it never jammed once, can't say the same about the others I've used, although at an 8lb. head weight it keeps you fit.....vibration can be felt pretty severely if you get those bounces going and haven't hit clean on, but clean on it's fine...

If ya come over I'll help you with that broken arm of yours if ya like ;-)
