Obviously if that bar fits on that saw I can only conclude that Stihl must have copied the Ozito bar mounting system....which goes to show just how advanced and ahead of the times these Ozito saws are. Bit worried the saw will not perform as well as the factory setup with that cheap aftermarket bar on it.

That oiling system you have described sounds a little bit too advanced for me to comprehend, is it a race setup? I'll have a good look at it next time we want a little fun and might have to drill a hole or two and plug another........
I was just gunna use the Stihl 44 DL chain but the Ozito needs 45. So to fit the Stihl bar it needed an extra hole for the chain adjuster. Ozito were very smart ya see so Stihl can't just swap their gear over.

The 6mm hole of the rite is the extra one.

that's a nice spot for a gun range, I bet she echoes round those ridges tho.

well didnt play with a saw but spent the weekend trying to get this back into my work ute. its just a very mild 355 stroker after a blocked oil pick up let the old engine eat itself. just a few odds and ends left and hopefully get it fired up tomorrow then just gotta send it for a dyno tune

ya right bout that, i'd go back but as bit of drive be only a few trips a year, its expensive for one off visit but cheap if you join SSAA and has a few benefits.
A tricky day thou i was entertaining a cusin in from OS and while he was ex army i still had to show n tell plus all my gear set up for my club range prone off a sloping berm i'd never shot the No1 off bench so set up meant much mucking about.

red circle 500 yards is steel gong thou i dont think i'd hear it if i hit it with 223 round and see the ruts on right behind 100 yards some are a foot deep 20 foot long dug out by years of hits

Oh that cheap Bushnell scope for my pumpy was waste of time as lens relief dont work for my eyes,,, lesson learnt

You mean the 6mm hole with the two scratches where the drill bit went walkies? Bet you weren't using an Ozito cordless. it would never have done that.

Ozito will send Stihl broke if they continue to sell chainsaws like this cheaper than a stihl adjustable wrench holder button Pro strap.

G'day Skip and welcome to the site.

I haven't been here that long myself and what I know about chainsaws can be written on the back of a postage stamp for a local email. I have learnt that the sharper you keep your chain the more chance there is of it cutting your fingers when playing with it in the garage.

Sounds like an interesting set up with the living arrangements.....I know Fryers Forest, beautiful part of Vic for sure.

One thing you will notice here is that those that know own Stihls and those that think they know don't.

Enjoy :)
G'day Chippy, had to chuckle when i read this.
Spent a couple of hours practicing chain sharpening today, got a semi chisel razor sharp, and was so proud of myself that I couldnt resist running a finger across it to "test" its sharpness.
Result- nice little razorblade cut,and blood all over the chain sharpening section of my owners manual. :)
ps drop in if you're ever down Fryers forest way

Lol no that was my dodgy marking with a scriber.
But your right about the Ozito drill or the affects if I didn't use one. Hence why I used a drill press. Any other cordless would have walked all over the bar with the chuck run out.

What electric brake controllers are people running? Putting electric brakes on my old trailer since it has a bent axle I'm already replacing that

I'd give Redarc a go since they are just down the road from us. Is it a heavy trailer?

Is the oiling setup designed to go through the opposite hole to the adjuster and not through an actual designated oil hole? Hence the distance variation between the oil channel and supposed oil hole in the bar? The old 009's where like that and the small Electrolux mount too I believe. If the bar is mounted back to far also it won't line up with the delivery or like a 038 we had in he drilled another hole to run 62dl 3/8 chains on a 16 bar, should be 60. He had cut the end of the bar mount out and would bearly locate on both studs and the oil would just come out every where. Feel sorry for that saw bit of a clean up and it would have been good. Had an old mesh air filter on it with not medium left on it. Told him he would quickly destroy the saw running it like that in dry cutting. Got a new style filter yellow medium in and he rocked up and didn't want it, though he could stick something on his old one instead and thought that would be better :/

Nah 7x4 ex camper trailer but aiming to put a 1.4-5 axle set up under it. Can't justify dropping a heap on a tandem atm and my Utes only good for just under a couple tonne any way. I'll probably tipper kit my ute first before a big trailer
